Is moving biome permanent, or temporary?

I cant seem to find the answer anywhere!

When you move to a new biome - does your pack stay there for good, or until you choose to move again?

Or are you moved back to starter biomes once your pack leader is retired?

You stay there until you choose to move again. When you retire your lead you keep whichever biome you live in at that time.
