Preferred method of adding markings to wolves?

Preferred method of adding markings to wolves?

So I've kinda just been lurking for the most part on this site, and I've come to the realization that I... don't really know what I can do in terms of spiffing up my wolves and what the "best" way to go about it is. "Best" in quotes because there's no real wrong or right way to do this, and I'm aware of the many ways people can achieve this (Breeding, RMAs, MAs, Customizers, etc) but I'm curious on what most people seem to be doing and what seems to be the most free-to-play player friendly/cost efficient? :O Especially for already existing wolves since breeding takes time + are effected by the looks of current wolves.

Is it just selling stuff for SC, transferring it to GC, and using Marking Applicators? Or is it more worth it to save up enough to completely customize a wolf? (Assume in this case I'd want my wolf to have all 10 marking slots filled, and the 3 they have now I don't mind replacing) Or is it a different process entirely that is usually preferred by players?

If your wolf already has desirable/nice looking eyes, skin and claws + base possibly as well, it is better to just use marking applicators. Regular marking apps tend to work better as you will know for sure what you will get. But RMA might just end up giving you a colour that just looks absolutely horrid and then you either have to live with it or use marking remover.

I would say that best wolf to customize might be your breeding male, as desirable or/and pretty looking stud can be a good source of income as well.

Just trying to breed for the looks/marks is a good way to do it as well.

Honestly, imo the best (or at least cheapest) way is just to find pretty wolves on the Trading Center or the wolf sale forums and buy them, plus maybe some light customization (opacity changes are cheap and can do a lot!).  There are a lot of great wolves out there you can buy for less than the cost of a marking applicator!

(Unless of course you have a very specific idea you want or you don't like trading - everyone has a different playstyle.)

Thank you both!! :D

I'm mostly interested in the RNG aspect of breeding, so having more variables to play with (like filling all 10 marking slots) makes breeding all the more fun to me, even if it results in a nightmare xD I just had no idea how to go about upgrading my breeding male (that is also my lead) and my custom companion since they mean the most to me and are technically the canon pairing in my den
