Daily Quest Reset

If you fail to completely a daily quest, should it give you an extra day or completely reset? I have a quest from 11/6/20 that has not reset and the date says I have until 11/8/20 to complete, which is strange because that's not 'daily' so to speak. If it's the system being lenient though, I appreciate it!

A running quest has a countdown how long you have to complete. "Daily" in this case means you can only start one once per rollover not that you have to finish it in one.
