Puppy Problems

I was breeding for puppies with high stats and nothing else, and both parents had 300+ stats so I expected 300+ stat pups. The best I got came out as 263... Did I do something wrong? Can anyone explain to me that out of nine pups I didn't get a single high statted one?

No one is quite sure yet how inheriting stats work, but pups don't exactly fully inherit their parent's stats. People are trying to figure out how that works, but I would say you are doing nothing wrong - it's just how the game works.

Like Kahvinporo said, that's completely normal. Currently the amount of stats a puppy inherits seems to be around 30-35% of both parents stats, with some variation from other factors. There's a group trying to figure out the exact % here if you're interested!

Thanks so much for the help guys! I mean most of my pups turned out to be adorable, but I'm just trying to get high stats early game and then I'll focus on aesthetic.
