Forum Suggestion: Button to report specific posts

First of all, I want to start out by saying that I really enjoy how the forum is set up. It’s easy to format your posts, and once posted it’s easy to edit! However earlier today I had a snafu where my internet hiccuped and that lead to my post sending, and being posted, twice. I hunted around for an option to report the post, but there was none, and instead I had to go to the mod box to submit a ticket.

I feel like, aside from an option to ping users, the ability to report an individual post is incredibly important! Not just for being able to report accidental double posts but to also report rule breaking posts!

Now I’m not entirely sure how the mod interface is set up, but back when I moderated for a very large pet site forum reported posts and topics showed up within the mod interface, and we received notifications of incoming reports. It should hopefully be a simple coding change while also making it much easier for users to report problems in the forum.

Edit: I forgot to say where this button would be located.... perhaps near the edit post button! Other suggestions and input to improve this are more than welcome!

I agree, you can already report a topic but sometimes it's not the topic that's the issue, but the comments within it.

With such a big game, it's hard/impossible for mods to monitor every last comment anywhere. If not a button, at least an option in the modbox after clicking 'report topic' where you can include the comment ID.

There is flag message option on the chatbox, so I think report/flag option for the forum would be important as well. It should be a button to click and it also should have "confirm report" to avoid accidental reports.
