Sub-territories suggestion

Sub-territories suggestion

I know some people are upset to see that when you retire your lead, you lose all progress on the places you've explored. I think that could be mitigated somewhat (and linked to your progression in the game) if there was some sort of ability to claim 'subterritories' at certain points in your pack's expansion.

So say, when you hit 50 adult cap / 100 adult cap / 150 / 200 or something like that, you are offered the ability to choose another territory adjacent to one you already own to claim. It makes sense as the more wolves you have the wider your territory could be. Then when you retire your lead, your sub-territories either remain unlocked or start 50% scouted already. So the further along you are in the game and the larger your pack is, the less work your scouts need to do re-exploring the map when you do retire them.

I'm having an issue right now because I have 5 proficient (100%) hunters, I life in a "difficult" biome, and my new hunting party who are all brand new untrained hunters can't find anything other then critter trails nor can they catch anything. This issue could be fixed too with this suggestion, as if you claim a less-difficult territory as a sub-territory, perhaps you could choose to send your hunters to THAT place to hunt instead, for the purposes of training your hunting party. (It's really hard to feed 75 wolves off critter trails, but I need to level up my new hunters *somehow*!)

Maybe as well your herbalist could have a smaller chance of finding herbs from those regions (like a 50% chance of an herb from your main territory, and 25% from your subterritory sort of thing)

I think sub-territories could be an interesting mechanic later on in WD's life. So I do kind of support it, but I don't think your hunting problem is a good enough reason to implement this as the better solution is just to move into a biome where your hunters will do better.
