I'm Eel, an animal artist here and on Instagram/Bluesky specializing in scenes with painted backgrounds.

What do I draw?
I'm comfortable drawing any mammals and birds (as well as fantastic creatures like dragons). I'm also willing to try my hand at things like reptiles and fish! I work most comfortably with backgrounds but have options for no/limited background as well. I can do furries. Limited gore is okay but nothing extreme. I don't draw humans or humanoid characters.

Payment
For larger pieces (most or all of the body), I charge 100 with background or 80 with no background/limited background

No background(Example hidden for space)

And for smaller pieces (half or less of the body), I charge 60 with background or 40 with no background/limited background (examples of both options pictured)


I'm willing to add a second character to any format for an extra 10 (although I apply this rule really loosely haha)! Adding little birds is free.
I'm alright with drawing decor, but heavy decor may incur extra fees. Ask me! Please take a look at my finished commissions— I mark where price increases were made for reference.

You will receive two or three sketches from me at the start of the commission to choose from. From there, I'll ask for half of the full price before continuing. The other half will be paid once the piece is finished.
My formatting is flexible. If you have something different in mind, PM me and we can discuss pricing from there!

What I need from you
During openings, please PM me with commission details:

In your message, please provide me with a visual of what you want done. Ideally, this will be a link to a Wolvden wolf or a clear reference sheet. Let me know how you will be paying here as well!
Please include a description of how you want your subject drawn (pose, expression, environment, etc.), including whether you'd like something closer to a portrait or a fullbody. If you'd like, you can also send in a little doodle to help me get an idea! Note that I will only do one piece per person at a time.

Please allow me one month to complete your commission. If I take longer, I will gladly discuss discounts/refunds!

If I'm closed and accepting waitlisters, you can reply to this post to request a place.

Once your artwork is complete, you are free to use it anywhere, so long as you credit me fully using my Wolvden name and ID (eelbasket #87410) here or my username (eelbasket) anywhere else. I'm eelbasket on Toyhouse as well!
