Pupsitter Improvements

Pupsitter Improvements

To premise, I never played Lioden, so I apologize if any of my suggestions are mechanics from Lioden. Also, I know you guys are already working to improve the functionality for pup sitters, so these may come off as redundant.

Nature vs. Nurture

Currently, the game leans towards "nature"; a pup's personality and stats are determined at birth by parents. It would be cool to give a chance for pup sitters to affect the pup's personality and stats. Perhaps not a huge chance to affect their personality, but some chance would give a pup sitters personality some purpose and make things more interesting. Similarly for stats, a pup sitter who has an affinity for X and Y can improve the pup's X and Y while under its care (or longer). Also, if the intent was to have pup sitters be wolves that were phased out of their roles because of younger/better wolves, then perhaps their role proficiency can have an impact on the pup's development/affinity to that particular role.

Thanks for reading my idea. Probably not an original idea, but I didn't see another post for it. Let me know what you think.

I love this idea, and also wonder if something like it will be in the more fleshed out personality stuff they are working on.

I.. cautiously disagree.

I think juggling multiple pups with varying survival % with several sitters who also have varying pupsitter abilities is my opinion enough for me.

I think this could more easily be solved with pup training.

@Sienna Yeah, the stat portion could be excessive and, as you said, pup training would be an ideal solution once they are adolescent. The question becomes...is the pup training you refer to gonna be pup's shadowing wolves in their roles? Or a new function for training that allows minor role growth and an outlet to spend pup energy? I do like the shadowing idea, but from what I've heard, that is from Lioden.

@TKG it is another suggestion already, so i don't want to derail this topic too much but I don't think pups should be "shadowing" but more generally have a chance to earn stats, whether it be a specific stat for a certain exercise or one in general. And I mean pup training from 2.5 to 5.5 months; not adols.
