King Dire Sköll by #16243 The Golden Arcadia ;From a golden-washed cliff, two ethereal figures wavered in the aureate light of the dying sun. One, large, his eyes just as fierce and piercing as the overlooking ball of fire. The other, small, her eyes replicating pools of the purest water. Side by side, they stared down at the current state of the legacy they had began. The tendrils of their wispy beings were interlocking with one another, connecting the two mates in ways that words could never begin to describe. Both of their muzzles were graced with gentle smiles as they laid down for rest, sharing the exact same thought without a single spoken syllable: they wouldn't change a thing. Contents

Pack Birth and Death RecordsSutīru's Recollection ;saturday, december 16th, 2023Sutīru passed away one quiet spring morning at the hearty age of 7 years and 9.5 months old (187 rollovers). She had served The Golden Arcadia as one of their best scouts, only second to her mentor, Queen Kasana herself. She trained her extremely well before her and King Dire Sköll's passing.She continued on to extend her lineage with nine pups -- one of them being Queen Rubicund, fathered by a show male from another pack. Her delight was sky high when she received the news that her own daughter would become the leader of her pack. It took Sutīru quite some time to properly gain a relationship with another wolf, and that wolf was Iwa. Sadly, their pair bond lasted a short amount of time before she passed, leaving Iwa extremely downcast. The pack mourned her death, burying her body at the burial grounds, where the bodies of the other deceased members of The Golden Arcadia rested. Her grave is close to King Dire Sköll and Queen Kasana. 
Queen Rubicund's Pregnancy News ;saturday, december 23rd, 2023Queen Rubicund and Sekka conceived on this day, and the Queen shall be expecting pups within a few days (4 rollovers). She is hoping to possibly breed a lovely heir for The Golden Arcadia, depending on aging results.The puppies have been whelped on a breezy summer day (december 27th, 2023). Queen Rubicund gave birth to three healthy pups who are now nursing and safe under their pupsitters' gentle gazes. She named them Ochre, Canary, and Sunstone. It was quite a surprise to everybody when all three pups came out yellow! It's a bizarre look, but she loves them all the same. The Queen will come to learn that Ochre is adventurous, Canary is helpful, and Sunstone is amiable.
Iwa's Remembrance ;sunday, december 24th, 2023Iwa passed away one humid summer night at the gentle age of 7 years and 6 months old (180 rollovers). He'd been a stalker for the Essence Hunting Party for quite some time, and made sure to be gentle and thorough while training young Tethys. She was hit quite hard with the news of his death when the other members went to wake him for the first hunt of the day.He did not father any pups of his own, but he did adopt Blackbird with Sutīru, and treated Queen Rubicund like a daughter of his own flesh and blood. This also meant that he saw Arid as a grandson. That warmed the Queen's heart more than anything. Arid, too, was one of the most prominent members to miss him. One may whisper that they believe Iwa's fairly early death was due to the loss of his recently pair bonded and death parted mate. Others may murmur that he simply worked himself too hard, even though he would muse to himself about a quiet retirement. Whatever the case, The Golden Arcadia will miss his amiable spirit so dearly. His grave is buried beside Sutīru's. 
Sabi's Retirement ;saturday, december 30th, 2023Sabi went to discuss retirement with Queen Rubicund on a chilly, slightly snowy fall morning. He was an elder now, at 7 years and 6.5 months old (181 rollovers), and wanted nothing more than to be able to sit and watch his pack thrive. Of course, the Queen granted him this with a smile on her maw, and they parted ways. Sabi then headed to the empty elder's den, which had a lovely view of the entire pack territory, fulfilling his wish right then and there.A few minutes later, Arid stopped by to help create a soft nest for Sabi, grinning all the while. He loved helping the elderly, as he often told his mother, and it showed in his delicate actions and quiet words to the newly retired chaser. Then, he came back with a large chunk of meat from a deer carcass, one of Sabi's favorite meals. After that, Sabi was left alone for a little before he noticed Hanabira walking up to his den. She simply wanted to spend some time with him, since she was the only one left in their hunting party, so there was no more work for her to do except help around the territory. Once Sabi passes, his grave is placed by Iwa's. 
Blackbird's Pregnancy News ;monday, january 1st, 2024Blackbird and Tenraiuki of Surusuki conceived on this day, and the scout shall be expecting pups within a few days (4 rollovers). She is hoping to see beautiful little faces once she gives birth. She had an ultrasound at the scrying stone and it was revealed that she will have three pups.The puppies have been whelped on a winter night under a new moon, which Blackbird herself seemed pleased by (january fifth, 2024). Within the litter were two females (one a runt, the other the largest) and one male, all now nursing closely to their mother's warm belly. The typically quiet she-wolf has become uncharacteristically protective of her pups. She named them Sphinx, Hawkmoth, and Sycamore, all after moths. Blackbird will come to learn that Sphinx is independent, Hawkmoth is unfriendly, and Sycamore is neutral.
Afzelia's Pregnancy News ;thursday, january 4th, 2024Afzelia and Eacln of Ivory Valley conceived on this day, and the herbalist-to-be shall be expecting pups within a few days (4 rollovers). She is hoping to see an adorable bundle of fur once she gives birth. She had an ultrasound at the scrying stone and it was revealed that she will have one pup.The puppy has been whelped on a sunny yet snowy winter morning, allowing for a cold and whimsical welcome (january eighth, 2024). She was delighted to see her singular child had her dark grey eyes, and somewhat of the same face shape. He - Oxalis - stood out from the fresh, powdery snow with his unique black markings, one of which resembling her own nose stripe. Of course, she didn't allow him to get close enough to directly compare him to the snow, instead nuzzling the small pup deep into her thick winter fur, grinning to herself as he nursed for the first time. Afzelia will come to learn that Oxalis is lazy. 
Sphene's Pregnancy News ;sunday, january 14th, 2024Sphene and Nighthawk of Butcherbird Pack conceived on this day, and the she-wolf shall be expecting pups within a few days (4 rollovers). She is hoping to see plenty of cute, shut-eyed faces once she gives birth. Radiance got a little too cocky while trying to play around with one of the scouts. After boasting that she would be the victor of a tussle between the two, she quickly got put into her place. During a training lesson: Taiyō dropped a very nervous squirrel to the ground and ordered Blackbird to chase it. Kesseki completed the pack achievement "picking those herbs": forage 100 times. Kesseki brought back an Arnica Meadow recipe from his forage run! 1.6.2024 nothing noteworthy took place 1.7.2024 During a training lesson: Taiyō explained how different fur colors and patterns made a difference in how Sunstone would be able to hide. He picked up on it quickly, and soon Taiyō couldn't find him! 1.8.2024 Afzelia has given birth to 1 puppy: Oxalis! Ochre became an adolescent. Canary became an adolescent. Sunstone became an adolescent.
