Hi everyone! Your feedback would be massively appreciated! (also super sorry if this is the wrong thread/board/place to post this, I'm new here!)

I'm looking at opening up an art shop here on Wolvden where people can commission or request YCH artwork, but I'm struggling to figure out prices. I want to charge what I'm worth (because artists are often underpaid and deserve better!!!) but I'm scared it may be too expensive? I've built these prices based on other art shops in Wolvden but I would really appreciate the communities honest feedback!

Prices are listed in: NZD (at the moment of posting the conversition is 1NZD = 0.70USD)
$1nzd = 3 = 750

Here are the prices I am thinking of:

NEW COMMISSIONS
Headshot: $15NZD / 45 / 11,250
Bust/halfbody: $24NZD / 72 / 18,000
Fullbody: $30NZD / 90 / 22,500

YCH/PREMADE
Headshot: $8NZD / 24 / 6,000
Bust/halfbody: $12NZD / 36 / 9,000
Fullbody: $16NZD / 48 / 12,000

BACKGROUND/DECOR/EXTRA
Decor (simple): $2NZD / 6 / 1,500
Decor (complex): $5NZD / 15 / 3,750
Detailed background: $10NZD / 30 / 7,500
Extra character: +75% of original cost

Would you pay these prices? If not, what would you be willing to pay? Thank you for the feedback!!

yea sure! this is my personal opion so don't just go off of what I say but I think fullbody for both ych and commisons is a little much but I am just going off of the 2 examples you have show so I don't know much but maybe 20 gc less might be ok but don't lower yourself too much! everything else is fine in my opinion

Hey there! I want to preface this by saying it's a little hard to gauge what prices seem right for your art because there isn't much in the way off of examples to go off of for reference.

I understand worrying about art theft (trust me when I say I completely get the caution; I've been there) and what you do on that front is entirely down to your own discretion and comfort, but I'd recommend showing some more varied examples of your art (fullbodies in full, colored pieces, etc) and getting feedback from there before you settle on any sort of pricing for definite. So that being said, take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt.

But as is? Assuming that your art overall is the same quality and consistency as the examples you've shown, I'd say this pricing seems fair! Your lines are very clean, you have a lovely style and I'd say I'd be comfortable paying those prices for it based on that c:

Thanks! I'm actually working on a wip atm that Im hoping to add to this post as an example to better communicate my art style and what the final product might look like! I'm just waiting for the person the art is for to say they're okay with me sharing it

I think those prices are good! I'd most definitely come back to commission if you do decide on open a shop
