When and Where does Wolvden Exist? (The Americas for sure, maybe set after 2013?)

The things are hair-trigger susceptible to the plague and of course their obligate prey (prairie dogs) the the #1 reservoir for it. I got to attend a release event of some black-footed ferrets for work some years ago and the wildlife expert on hand to answer questions said a big part of the reintroduction effort involves bait-vaccinating the prairie dogs against the plague. I thought that was a cool detail.

The ECOS site has excellent info hub pages for endangered, threatened, and proposed species for listing under the ESA if you're interested.

Just checked Racoon Wares in Deciduous Forest and I'm pretty sure that the glasses, watch, tree thing (that hangs in cars, its one of those scent things I think) and bottle cap(?) weren't there before but despite the time they were added into the game, could they give any indication of what time period Wolvden is set in?

Edit: I researched this and I'm sure the tree thing it is a Little Tree air freshener, which was invented in 1952, it also looks like it too.

I looked up the "Little Trees" air freshener a few days ago. The company started in the 50s, though I couldn't find any timeline on the design over the years.

I was thinking about this from a disease perspective. Wolvden has distemper and infectious hepatitis, but no parvovirus!  They are the big three killer viruses of dogs, odd to have two but not the most notorious one?

Canine parvovirus evolved in 1976 in Europe, and was worldwide by 1978.

With the recent event of the seasonal full moon, it's safe it say it's happening now. Today. Was thinking maybe yellow stone national park, something with no humans but bio diversity. (if it had to be one place)

But I live here so...
So North America...
Mountains-rocky mountains
Grass lands-midwest
Desert-southwest
Swamp-south
Rainforst-South America
Tundra- Alaska
Glacier- artic circle

Another thing to add to the theory  is the overgrown car background, the car in the background came from 2000 and over, adding the fact it's overgrown, it takes time.

Also, consider it looks rusty, cars are made of steel and starts rusting 4-5 days after.
But, keep in mind a car is large. It takes a good few months to rust completely.

In response to the comment above me, there WAS a blue moon in 2013, the same month as the one this year.

And there is one in a couple of years.
So the future is possible with that logic.

I want my lore to be after humans but they want to put them in the game 😔
