The Beast’s Raising Sun: A tale of undying love (Offsite)

Dagor peered at Hina as she spoke and turned his phone off then shoved it into his pocket.
"Aye, he can walk alongside me though I mostly let him explore on his own, we often sit on this large rock together to eat strawberries for a bit"
He spoke after a moment and understood the questions Hina spoke, he also knew that many who own reptiles often forget that animals who have been tamed over the years tend to behave differently then those in the wild from human interactions.

He had always been a man who wasn't afraid to speak his mind and was rather open regarding his Ruthus. However, he always imagined a random stranger walking up to him and giving a tongue lashing about the limitations of reptiles of making claims they can't cuddle and so forth.
"Ruthus and I had been close for as long I can remember….I take him everywhere I can with me"

Hina smiled at the mental image of the large reptile eating strawberries with its handler. "Does he like strawberries?" she asked curiously. The reptile had really sparked her interest, she didn't necessarily want to get one as a pet any time soon, but that didn't mean she couldn't fancy them from afar. "You really take him everywhere?" she asked surprised and perhaps a little shocked, not because the thought would be repulsive, but because she hadn't known that it was really allowed to bring reptiles with you.

"Have people been mean to you when you have been walking with him?" she then asked curious about what the people's reactions might have been when seeing the odd pair. "I sadly don't have a pet of my own," she then said softly. "I have thought about getting a puppy, but haven't looked breeds more closely yet," she said with a small smile. Getting a dog had been something she had wanted to do for years and she really hoped that she would be able to fulfill her dream one day.

"Yeah I bring him with me wherever I can, like stores and so forth….also "I tend to scare people away by myself so paired with my dragon baby…."
A small smirk formed across Dagor's lips.
"…all stray away"
He softly chuckled that seemed to be more growl-like than anything, however there had been times when others will try to flirt with him, being a stocky sort carrying a massive lizard around and has tattoos seems to attract rather interesting individuals. Sadly Dagor has no interest in them, and even standing near Hina right now his mind was more focused on his work, taking in the surrounding scents and scanning the area of anything that seem off. He crossed his arms without even thinking of it and seemed to be guarding the smaller female sub consciously and gave her his full attention as she spoke.

"Never been a cat or dog person….but aye; one must research their desires beast in order to give the proper care, so often we have a animals dropped off for they failed to realize their bright chameleon was giving signs of stress"
He spoke simply, Dagor was never one to sugar coat the truth no matter how harsh it may seem and if not permitted to speak of said truth he either; goes deathly silent or says, "unable to say", he likes to keep things professional.

Hina smiled to him softly, "Wouldn't it get lonely, if everyone was to stray away?" she then asked. She herself didn't have a big circle of friends, but she couldn't imagine spending her days completely alone either. It would be really hard for her, if everyone was suddenly avoiding her like a plague. However, she could understand why it sometimes was even easier that people stayed away, not everyone were that friendly, that she had experienced by herself both in here and in Japan where she was born and raised. People tended to ask a lot of questions and sometimes they were just too personal and even unnecessary.

"I have always dreamed of having pet of my own. My parents refused to get one when I was little and honestly, it would have been very difficult to even raise one properly," she said remembering how her parents had used to be very busy, and well, they still were. Her father didn't work as a salaryman any longer, but now they both fully focus on the small family restaurant they have. It was her parents' dream to open one and she was happy that they could fulfill their dream. "Have you been working here for long?" she then asked curiously.

Dagor would be lying to himself if he said it wasn't lonely being in his situation, and his life isn't the most idle, it also doesn't help how he raised and trained, being one who feels such strong urges to latch onto someone and much like a beast bred to watch over his territory, this man thinks the same way. He couldn't help but feel horrid for Hina when she mentioned never having a pet, for him his animals are the only ones keeping him sane, the only ones he can vent to other than the one he calls brother but even then he struggled to say what ails him.

"I've been working here about….year or so? Perhaps longer…"
Dagor tilted his head in thought then peers at Hina once more.
"Perhaps when you do have an animal you should start with a basic one….like fish for instance, they may seem dull but there are rather interesting ones as well, such as beta or koi fish."
He spoke with a nod then went back to the first question.
"And aye…..I would be lying if I said it's not lonely being me"

Hina nodded when he told her that he had been working in the hotel for a year or so. "That's around the same time I arrived here to study," she mused quietly smiling to him again. "Do you like working in the zoo?" she then asked curiously. The young Japanese dancer listened him about the matter of getting a pet. She should get a fish? She remembered the pond in her grandma's house where the koi used to swim, her grandma bred and sold them for a hobby. "My grandma used to breed, raise and sell the koi," she smiled, "They are so beautiful and so very colorful," she added.

"Aren't we all kind of lonely?" Hina mused as she looked around. She too was very lonely, mostly because she was exchange student studying and practicing ballet, so she didn't really have much time for friends. And the other thing was because she was an exchange student. Even though her language was understandable, she still was unsure of it and generally wasn't the person who would easily make friends and talk with strangers. She had always been the "wall rose" type.

Dagor was about to speak but closed his mouth once he heard the sound of heavy foot steps then the familiar scent of human musk, he peered to the cubby man he saw earlier.
"DAGGER"
He screamed just just earlier and Dagor raised a brow, but didn't try correcting him as the man walked over.
"Yes sir?"
He spoke and gave the man his full attention as he stood up straight.
"Stop flirting with the girl and throw the teenagers out hanging near the fishies"
The man spoke sternly, yet despite the childish word of "fishies" being used Dagor nods without a mere thought.
"Understood"
He spoke them faced Hina.
"Apologies but I am needed elsewhere, enjoy your stay"
He nods then took his leave, he weaved in and out of foot traffic's with such ease, it was a simple task for him yet he took his work very seriously.

Meanwhile the cubby man was left with Hina and he scanned her curiosity.
"Hello….I'm Fergus, and must say…."
He crossed his arms and tilted his head.
"I not see Dagger speak to others often…."

Hina nodded at Dagor to silently say her goodbyes to him. Of course she was sad that their chat had ended so early, but she also understood that he still had a job to do. Maybe they would be able to chat again one of these days? Who knew... As Hina watched Dagor to go, she heard the other man speaking to her. She felt a little nervous about the man's sudden appearance and that he actually was talking to her.

However, she thought that it was best to be polite and gave the man a small smile. "Hello, my name's Hina," the young woman said softly keeping her gaze lowered. She didn't say anything about him mentioning Dagor speaking to the others rarely. She just hoped that she hadn't bothered the quiet reptile owner.

The man didn't seem very amused by the response and he peered at the direction in which Dagor went to, he knew that while the brute hadn't shown any special interest he was still territorial by nature. Fergus remembers how Dagor snapped at a customer for merely looking at his brother the wrong way, the male was unpredictable, however he is a hard worker all the same.

Fergus decided to merely walk off, he wasn't one for small talk unless the other gained his interest-but also he doesn't want for Dagor to strap him down to a chair thinking the male was eyeing the smaller woman like a wolf with meat! The mere thought send chills down his spine, then paranoia struck the moment he noticed a large man wearing a suit, lurking in the shadows….

Hina watched Fergus to walk away thinking that he must be rather busy man. She shrugged her shoulders when she was left alone and decided to continue with her tour. However, instead of the animals, her mind was occupied by the one certain worker. She definitely wouldn't mind seeing him again and maybe even spending even more time with him. He seemed rather interesting person and the reptile he had shown her, it was very impressive one.

She smiled softly as she walked from the pen to an another watching the animals and listening to their handlers giving presentations about them. She had always found animals very fascinating creatures. There was one pen that had small puppies, definitely not older than five weeks. Hina smiled at the puppies finding them so cute. She definitely wanted to have her own puppy.
