Your Name/Pronouns: Vixel (She/Her)
Your Age: 19
Frequency: I'm a pretty active player. A lot less active Friday-Sunday. Most active Monday-Wednesday. Only active for a couple of hours on Thursdays.
Your writing style: I love making characters with internal conflicts. I like exploring how the world shapes/changes my character. Dark fantasy and historical elements are something I quite enjoy.
Your writing amount: I tend to write three paragraphs on average, but will do one paragraph at minimum. I only do one-liners if I'm RPing in real-time with someone and we're in a mostly dialogue-driven scene.

Character Name: Ember Sunka (shoon-kah)
Character Age: 21
Character Gender/Pronouns: Female (She/her)
Profession: Ex-Enslaved Gladiator

Human Appearance: Ember stands fairly tall at around 5"6' with an athletic, muscular build. She has dark auburn brown hair and dark bronze skin. Her ears are rounded and overall, she looks human. Except for her gold-colored eyes with black slits for pupils. They betray her animalistic heritage. Many scars cover Ember's body, but the most notable is the claw-shaped mark running down the left side of her face. Ember's wardrobe is composed of simple dark clothing that allows for easy movement.

Wolf Appearance: When shifted, Ember is about 9ft tall, with rather long fur on her legs, forearms, and mane. Her coat is a dark red and brownish color, with a mixture of black and gray fur on her forearms, calves, around her eyes, and on her muzzle. Her eyes are bright gold with black slits for pupils, that disappear when in a feral state.

Personality Description: People first meeting Ember would likely describe her as quiet, stoic, and rather unfriendly. She's rather distrustful of strangers, so she doesn't speak to them much. Ember also tries to keep her emotions to herself, not showing that level of vulnerability to folks she's just met. Because of this, Ember seems very unkind and standoffish. Upon getting to further know her though, one would learn Ember is quite dutiful, courageous, and even rather ambitious. Give her a cause with fighting for and Ember regains that spark of spirit she'd lost so long ago. She's always one to help her pack, even with those she doesn't get along with. Ember doesn't shy away from most things that scare her. She tries to face most of her fears head-on, with claws, fangs, and rage.

-Wolf On Her Sleeve: Whenever she's feeling very intense, negative, emotions (fear, anger, sadness), Ember begins to involuntarily transform. Her eyes will glow yellow, her teeth and nails begin to sharpen and elongate into fangs and claws, her ears will grow to a point, and fur will grow on her arms. Once this happens she's usually able to take the cue to go and decompress, but not always.
-Loss of Control: Due to the trauma she endured during her enslavement, whenever Ember transforms, there's a chance she can go feral. This essentially means her behavior is equivalent to that of a werewolf during a full moon. There are no friends, only foes. She'll attack anyone in sight, even her dearest companions. Because of this, Ember seldom transforms, only doing so when absolutely necessary.
+High Alert: After living in a continuous state of anxiousness for so long, Ember is on constant high alert. There's never a moment where she isn't constantly listening or smelling everything around her.
+Battle Tactics: She's learned quite a few things from fighting in the pits day in and day out. Smaller enemies tend to be quicker, don't let them tire you out. The ground is her turf, grappling is gonna usually be her best go-to. Fighting with your pack is always better than going in solo.

Backstory:
The church met all kinds of resistance from the werewolves during and after the Silver Crusade. The Silver Slaughter as many werewolves came to see it as. One of these resistance groups was an ensemble of werewolves who called themselves the Crimson Howlers. Even after the slaughter, the Howlers remained, feeling their mission was far from complete. No one else in Avishkar was going to protect them from the vir who wished to do them harm. Violence against werewolves was high and the Howlers vowed to help their kin, taking an equally violent approach towards those who would hurt them. The fear and hate the vir felt towards werewolves was going nowhere anytime soon, and the Howlers had long since realized peace was no longer on the table.

Growing up knowing nothing but hate against her kind, Ember was drawn to the Howlers. Perhaps it was her tenacity and fiery spirit. Perhaps it was simply because numbers were steadily dwindling. Whatever the reason, at sixteen years of age, Ember underwent the initiation process and became a Crimson Howler. She traveled far and wide across Eberron with her Lycan brothers and sisters, fighting against the injustices brought upon her people. She loved it. She lived for it.

One singular moment would completely change the trajectory of Ember's life. The ambush. It was well-planned and well-executed. Their ranks were the lowest they'd ever been. Perhaps that's why the slavers decided that was the opportune time to strike. Ember and the Howlers, all 16 of them, were captured. None killed. They'd soon find out why.

Vir would pay good money to watch werewolves tear each other apart. Ember and her brethren were subdued and made to fight in an underground arena. After all, they were werewolves. Who was going to come to their aid? Especially when they were such good entertainment. Slowly but surely, for five years, Ember watched from afar as her brethren, her family, were either killed in the ring or sold off, never to be seen or heard from again. This hardened the once free-spirited and hopeful young woman, turning her stoic and cold. That fire within her, once burning for hope, for the future of her fellow werewolves, was now fueled by pure unadulterated rage.

Escape came by pure chance. There had been a fire. Her handler, in his rush to help put it out, hadn't properly locked her cell door. Ember still remembers hearing how loudly her heart pounded in her ears. Remembers feeling more scared in that moment than she'd ever been when in the arena. Her freedom was right in front of her, and she dare not let it slip away.

Motivations/Goals: Ember seeks to reunite with her pack and take revenge on her captors. She'd also like to see the complete downfall of the vir.

Feelings on the "Curse": Before her enslavement, Ember was certain her lycan nature was a gift. Being a werewolf helped her accomplish incredible feats of speed, strength, and agility. She was powerful. She was invincible...After her enslavement though, Ember's been feeling, conflicted, about her nature. She'd have never been in that situation in the first place had she not been a werewolf. She can no longer easily shrug off the hateful remarks she hears about her kind, hating to admit that she now feels a sting to words like "monster," "beast," and "animal."

Marked?: Ember is marked. She got her mark when her pack was captured.

Forum or Discord?: I'm good with either, though I do say I'm kinda leaning more towards Discord.
Yes or No to Dicerolls?: I'm all for dice rolls!

Other: I'm super excited to start this and build a fun world/RP with you guys! <3

Your Name/Pronouns: Alcarie (She/Her)
Your Age: Twenty-eight (28)
Frequency: Almost every day. Thursdays and Fridays are up in the air though, because they are my off days and I play catchup on errands. I have a lot of downtime during working hours, so that's when I'll mostly reply.
Your Writing Style: Stream of consciousness. I tend to be a bit wordy sometimes, but I enjoy writing what my characters are thinking, feeling, and experiencing. Giving my characters internal conflicts, or just flat out hurting them, is a favorite as well. Dark, horror, and found family are themes I enjoy, as is character driven plots.
Your Writing Amount: Depends on what is going on. If my character is not doing anything but standing around, a 5+ sentence paragraph. If he's actually doing something or communicating typically 2-4 paragraphs.

Character Name: Gavriil Belyakov
Character Age: Twenty-eight (28)
Character Gender/Pronouns: Male (He/Him)
Profession: Wanderer

Human Appearance: This is Gavriil. If you'd like me to type out a description as well I will. I just didn't want to if I didn't have too.~

Wolf Appearance: Here's his colors to make visualizing him easier. Standing at roughly 9 1/2 feet tall, Gavriil isn't the tallest male out there, but what he lacks in height he makes up for in speed. He is wiry and lean, musculature like a runner. This doesn't mean he doesn't have the werewolf strength, but he prefers to use brains over brawn. His fur is thick, made for the cold while being long on his chest and ruff. It's charcoal grey around his sides, back, and lower abdomen, but lightens considerably at his hands and paws into a light tan. Along his dorsal the fur is a dark ginger that runs up long his neck and creates an almost masked pattern on his face. The werewolf's chest and chin are the same light tan as his paws. His nose and claws are black, while his eyes remain the same hazel color as his human form.

Personality Description: Gavriil's default mode is sarcasm. Normal conversation? Sarcasm. Life in danger? Extreme sarcasm. Serious discussion? Moderately less sarcasm. Mostly it's a defense mechanism on his part, particularly in the recent years. The more annoyed someone is at him, the less close they look. Instead, they just want to get rid of him and his smart mouth as soon as possible. Before the curse he wasn't near as bad and was actually someone who truly enjoyed being around other people. Gavriil is a social person by nature, and hates being alone. The new pack mentality has only exacerbated this. So having to push everyone away breaks something in him almost every time. Particularly those that are nice to him. It's safer that way; both for himself and for others. However, if someone he can feel safe with is able to ignore his rather sharp tongue Gavriil is loyal to a fault, almost recklessly so. He'll show his deeply hidden playful side, which is quick to laugh and tussle. And would give them anything they wanted if it meant keeping them around. He's tired of playing lone wolf.
- A Reliance on Others: Not for them to take care of him, but rather the opposite. He needs a purpose, someone to look after and do things for or he feels aimless. This is in no way related to romance of any kind. Instead, it is in a familial capacity. Having grown up in a large, loving family, the lack of it makes him think of life as pointless.
- Indulgent and Hedonistic. Gavriil is one for the finer things in life if he can get it. He's not stupid about it like some, but if it is between buying an expensive pastry he loves and going without money for the next couple of days he'll take the pastry. He'd much rather sleep in a bed in a hotel then the ground outside and will sneak into an Inn to make it happen if he has too. Stealing is not above him, nor is conning to get what he wants.
+ Control. He's not exactly sure why he has such good control compared to some werewolves, but the fact remains that his emotions rarely invoke a change. This is probably a good thing considering he does have a bit of a temper. However, like all werewolves he cannot control himself on the full moon.
+ Adaptable, clever, and imaginative. This is how he's survived for so long after leaving his family. Gavriil might have the strength, and teeth, of a werewolf, but he finds that his mind is a much more useful tool. If he can get what he wants using tricks, stealth, or a well-made plan that's what he'll do. Brute strength isn't his thing unless it has to be. He's street smart and savvy, using these to his advantage quite often.

Backstory: As you probably guessed already, Gavriil grew up in a large, chaotic family who were very close. He was the youngest child and had two older brothers and one older sister. As such he tended to get away with more and was always trailing after his brothers to try and imitate them. Luckily neither Kazimir nor Zakhar minded it, since their parents were getting up there in age. They raised Gavriil more than their mother and father, and everything he knows now came from them. Loyalty, hard work, and compassion were taught by Kazimir. Determination, cheekiness, and street savviness were things Zakhar instilled in him. Gavriil had a wonderful childhood, knowing love and family all the way into his young adulthood.

It was at twenty-five when everything went wrong. Theirs was a small town, sitting at the foot of a foresty mountain range. Often groups of people would venture into the wilderness in search of things, fresh berries, herbs, or animals for meat. It was rarely dangerous, as they hadn't seen a predator in many years, outside of a mountain lion or two. So Gavriil didn't think twice about going out early one morning to spend the day collecting wild blackberries and mint for his sister. He went into the mountains a human, but he came out a werewolf. He doesn't remember much about the encounter, only dark grey fur, piercing yellow eyes, and a roaring growl that seemed to shake the ground. To this day he doesn't think the werewolf meant to hurt him, or he'd be dead. But rather he'd startled a creature who was frightened by humans.

When he woke up, he wasn't sure how much time had passed, only that his shoulder was throbbing and tacky with dried blood. When he'd pulled his shirt away there was a perfectly made bite mark still oozing blood. Like most virs Gavriil knew the stories of werewolves and what happened to them once the curse took hold. In a panic he went to the one person who he felt safest with, praying the whole time that this wasn't happening. But even Kazimir couldn't save him from what he'd become: a monster. To his brother's credit, both Kazimir and Zakhar tried to shield him from the reality and from anyone prying eyes. At first, he thought it was a false alarm after almost a month passed and he showed no signs of being infected.

He thought he was a lucky one. Then the full moon happened, and all hell broke loose. The night was a blur, but the morning splashed the cold reality down upon him. Lying naked in the family field, covered in gore and surrounded by the corpses of the family cattle, told him all he needed to know. He was a werewolf. The only silver lining was that he'd not harmed a family member. It was then that he knew he had to leave, to protect the others. He would not allow the wrath of the Church to fall upon his people. Saying goodbye had been, and still was, the hardest thing he'd ever have to do. If it wasn't for the knowledge that it would destroy them, he'd have asked them to go ahead and put him out of his misery.

That was three years ago, almost four, and since them Gavriil has travelled from place to place. He does odd jobs for food and places to sleep, and rarely sticks around one place for more than a few weeks. It's just too dangerous. Thanks to his control he has been able to stay under the radar, ear to the ground for any kind of information on the Lycan Order.

Motivations/Goals: Mainly he wants a pack, a family, again. He wants a place to live safely and to remember what joy actually felt like.

Feelings on the "Curse": He doesn't hate the curse; he hates that the vir's cannot see that they are not monsters who need to be put down.

Marked?: No

Forum or Discord?: Either is fine with me.
Yes or No to Dicerolls?: Er, I'm going with no because I have no idea what that means. I've never played DnD.

Other: Dr. Dolph Reaper. I'd also like to, much later in the Rp, bring in Kazimir as a secondary character of mine if that's okay? He won't play a big part, but he is important to Gavriil's story.

The image of Gavriil was created by me using Imagine AI. I do not, nor will I ever, make any kind of profit off AI. I only use it to see my babies come to life.
