"It's fine, I'm considered odd for not wanting to party or go here…I honestly don't care…"
Toren didn't want for Lailah to feel bad for them merely not having the same interests and peered at the drink she held, he already drank for the day and merely stood up but peered around the area as he scratched his stomach a little.
He wasn't sure where to go, or rather where the one he is sent to watch would find enjoyable, often when he has time to kill he feeds upon humans from the nearby butcher, train for his fight matches or practice some skills he had picked up upon, regardless he was convinced that Lailah finds him dull at this point in time for not being like others and giving into more sinful acts.
"….anywhere you want to go?….not sure if you would find anything I normally do of interest…"
"See that's the problem is I don't know where I want to go. I would go any where and do anything I guess." She says and takes a sip of her drink and smiles because the alcohol was stronger then in her realm and that the drink it's self tasted good. "And many things interests me so let's go do something that you would do." She suggests.
The way Lailah had started the sentence triggered Toren a little and can one blame him? He wore a set, stoic expression and tried to think where to take her next. His stomach rumbled yet he doesn't want to eat human in front of her, he felt it would be wrong for a angel to see one eat living human before their eyes, however there was a place that served other foods.
"…guess I could eat right now.."
He spoke under his breath then turned to head out of the building.
She could help but feel really bad. She was thinking about how horrible she had been treating her guardian, leaving him at the club while she got to dance, leaving outside of her door after first really meeting her guardian. Then offending him and being really rude. She lifted her head long enough to glance up at Toren and to try to get a read on his feelings. But all she could see was to her his emotionless expression that he wore. (sorry for my previous response I had to make it quick and get off of the computer)
Toren notice thst Lailah was eyeing him yet he could care less, he was sued to the fact that he was sent here to do his job, being ensure that the Arch Angel survives the duration of her school years, he fully accepts that she will forget him once sent back to the Angelic Realm.
He opened the door for Lailah and ignored the odd looks he received for being rather gentlemanly, he had always been picked on for his odd behaviors but not once he allowed it to bother him, that is when he finally realized he wasn't like the rest. The sidewalks were a little crowded during this time.
"There is a restaurant over here…bit laid back at least"
He shrugged as they walk down the sidewalk.
Lailah nods and thanks Toren for being a gentleman she is finding him almost human like or a low ranking half angel like with his behavior but she dismisses her thoughts and follows Toren to the restaurant. She this time makes sure she is the first to the door so she can hold it open for him to return the kindness. "After you." She says. She follows him in and lets him lead her to a table. They sit down and she looks at the menu and is surprised that they serve food from all of the realms she picks a few things that she likes from the mortal realm and a thing from the angelic/heavenly realm. She looks at Toren, "Are you going to get something to eat?" She asks gently feeling bad that she is ordering so much in front of him and not thinking about buying him something to eat. "I will pay for yours." She offers gently hoping that she could make her guardian happy or at least get a grasp on what he is feeling.
Toren never entered the building, in fact when Lailah went in front of him and opened the door he froze in place with a thousand yard stare, if only she took the time to slow her pace a little. Others gave the brute an odd stare and entered the restaurant, needing to walk around him for he was frozen in place but soon closed his eyes and shook his head as his tails whipped around a little.
"….I….I don't want to be punished again….and I refuse to allow you to slam the door on me…."
He spoke with his head lowered, it started when he was a child that others would slam the door on his face, or commonly when he entered the building before his superiors, along with those he must guard, they will wait until he nearly entered the building then slam the door into him.
It was rather traumatic as one can expect and worst part were the endless beatings he would receive and the Arch Demon he currently follows would ensure that should he enter before the Angel then he will starve once more.
Lailah nods and exits the restaurant and lets Toren hold thr door for so that she can enter without getting him on trouble, "I am sorry that I almost got you in trouble with entering like that." She apologizes gracefully and lowering her head because she didn't know and she didn't want to do anything else that might get him in trouble and punished.
