Foxo

The chameleon locks its gaze on a tiny butterfly it intends to catch and you almost feel the tension as you follow the careful, slow steps of the reptile. The butterfly notices the danger and flies right into you. You can't pass up the opportunity to catch it yourself! The chameleon stares at you with beady, disappointed eyes.

You follow the deer in silence without any particular plan to harm it. You are simply curious. Perhaps it will lead you somewhere interesting, or reveal some secrets that you could take advantage of? The deer stops suddenly, looking around before it lowers its head to check something on the ground. This forces you to wait until it leaves and you can investigate further. It's a small hiding spot, and there's something here. Score!

You find a young wolf alone; "I want to go home but they're still there." He lowers his voice to a whisper and you can see genuine fear in his eyes. You check the way ahead of you but if there was anything strange here before, it's gone now.

The young wolf gathers his courage after hearing the good news. You follow him for a while to make sure he's safe.

A small, oddly shaped object catches your attention for a moment, but when you look back up, the wolf is nowhere to be seen.

You come upon a wolf laying very still and staring off into the distance, appearing to be deep in thought.
"Is something wrong?"
"Everything is wrong. The world as we know it is changing. I've seen them... the lights. They keep appearing out of nowhere. Following me, haunting my dreams... Listen to me and escape somewhere safe. This land is cursed and it all started from this. I found that thing a couple of days ago. Do me a favor and destroy it, maybe it will change something for the better." The old wolf doesn't even let you get a word in edgeways, and pushes an object into your paws. You assume he won't take no for an answer, so take it with you
You are an experienced wolf and you've seen a lot, but this strange animal has you questioning yourself. Weird antlers can be explained, but these teeth? Is it carnivorous? And why is it here?
Stalking the deer doesn't give you any new information. It looks like it's lost and unfamiliar with everything. You doubt that it will lead you to other strange deer or provide any answers to your questions. You notice a small object resting on a broken log on your way back.
You approach the critter with your tail between your legs to show you mean no harm. You howl gently, trying to match the tone, and after a bit you find a good harmony. Unfortunately, nobody responds. You offer to take the polecat on your back and you wander together for a bit, until it finds a cave it seems interested in. Time to sing goodbye!
