Steelclaw was driven off from his old pack, having been told he had no potential in any of the five spots of the hunt and as a pupsitter.
After many weeks he had stubbled into the young pair of wolves while they hunted, granted they were trying (and failing) but after a tense greeting he gladly helped the young pair bring down an elderly doe. He accepted the offer to join the budding pack over the small feast in return of offering his knowledge.
It's nice to share a meal for once... its nice to have a meal..
