Viktoria

From birth on, Viktora had always been full of herself. She knew that she did well in training and was proud of that. Some of the other pups did not like her too much... but she impressed her mentor, so she was happy with herself.

When Viktoria was training to become a scout, she got quite a heavy scar on ther left eye. She carried it with pride. She was training even more after that and wanted to improve her skills. The other adolescents were scared of her.

During training, her mentor Balder once worryfully mentioned that Delilah - the leader - was aging and in a few months it would be time to pick a new leader. Viktoria listened up. A new leader?
That was valuable information. Viktoria started sucking every word up that Balder and Delilah said. Balder because he was her mentor and she learned a LOT from him. Delilah because she was the leader and she wanted to learn without others noticing. She wanted to stand where Delilah was standing. She wanted to lead the pack.

Time went by, Viktoria was training a lot and she had managed to get some fancy accessoires. She had turned into a pretty adult with dangerous claws and a self-assured face. She had taken over the role of the scout for Pine and was fighting many enemies out there. She was always ready to start a fight.

One day, right after Viktoria had returned from a scouting mission, Delilah walked up to and greeted her. Viktoria respectfully bowed her head, wondering what she wanted. When the leader told her to follow and they went toward her cave, Viktora's hopes got up. Inside, they were confirmed. Delilah said that she wanted Viktoria as her heir. That was amazing. She really did it!

The yearling tried to hide her excitement and barely managed to and accepted. They went outside, Delilah stepping on the pride rock, howling for all to come to the center of the den site - except for a few of the guards posted outside.

"As some of you might have noticed, I am not the youngest anymore. Even though, I would love to stay with you all and lead this amazing pack for all eternity, my body won't allow that. It was a great pleasure to lead you, my family - even though the peace was interrupted about one and a half years ago. But, even if I will be gone, the Noname Pack must still stand and defeat the Cultists once and for all! Therefore, I couldn't think of anyone fitting better than Viktoria as my heir. Please, come up."
Viktoria did as she was asked. "In your very young age, you managed to prove yourself multiple times. With your intellect, strength, strong will and knowledge of the war, you will stand up to what is asked of you. If anyone is against my choice, speak now." Silence. Viktoria couldn't hold back a smile.
"Wonderful. So, Viktoria. Do you promise to protect the Noname Pack until your death with your life?" "Yes, I do." "Do you, Viktoria, promise to be an anchor for the pack - your pack - to hold on to?" "Yes, I do." "And do you, Viktoria, promise to destroy the Cultists and everything that belongs to them?" Viktoria paused for a second:"YES, I DO!" Cheerful howling set in.
Delilah raised her voice again:"So now, my beloved family, let's take today as a day of rest. Let us all gather here and enjoy the warmth of the family. Guards will work in shifts so that everyone can have the pleasure to enjoy the evening."

The evening was chill. Everyone had gathered together, many wolves congratulated Viktoria. Some seemed not very happy about it but whatever. When the night had passed, Delilah wasn't there. Just as all leaders do when their life is ending, she had gone to the lake nearby. After she was found, the pack buried her with a warm ceremony. She was gonna be missed.

That was when the responsibilities began: She had to organize hunting sessions, send out the scouts and also had to talk to the herbalist about needed medicine. That wasn't a few things to handle. Luckily, during the first days there were no attacks so she could focus on other things she had to do as a leader.

Quiet didn't hold for long, as the cultists started attackly again rather quickly. Viktoria was in the front line, fighting. That was the thing she was most valued for: being a firece warrior, ready to protect the pack.

She got used to leading the pack. Daily tasks became quite easy soon and she had more time to go out and explore on her own again. She defeated many animals out there and learned a lot. In some suspicious cave she even was rewarded wings for defeating some weird giant bird predator - she could only use them to glide though... and to show off.

One of the warriors started to piss her off a litte. Reinhard would often question what she said, always added his opinion and was around her so often. He was annoying. Reinhard threw her weird looks and talked about weird stuff - she didn't get him. But somehow... he knew just what to say to get her down when she got to agitated... Confusing.
