Jane was unfriendly in her past, and could never get along with her packmates - she spread lies about who mated with who, about certain wolves being inbred without their knowledge, and would purposefully ruin hunts for her fellow packmates. She found amusement out of this, up until Marin (her former pack's leader) ran her out into the cold mountains. Jane, not used to this terrain being from the forest, feels a tug at her heart to change.
Alone in the cold, she's found by Ricardo, who is looking for wolves to expand his pack further. He finds her and takes her in, and helps her develop from being Unfriendly to simply being Lazy. Now being as laid back as she is, Jane finds that her true calling lies within being a scout, beside her newly-found sister Carlos. Now knowing this, she feels less unwanted, and more at home in her rightful family.
