Base background story

As a pup, Scrounge found herself lost. She looked everywhere, but nothing felt familiar, nothing felt like home.

One day, while in the rainforest, she was encapsulated by a blue mist. It took her into the lunar dreams realm. With her tail between, her legs, teffired, she didn't know what to do. This was all new to her. She eventually got the courage to wonder around. She felt like she was being watched, and heard whispers between trees. She blamed it on this critters and the wind. Eventually, she came to a very large tree. It had a hole just big enough to fit her small pup body. She wiggled through curiously.

Finding on the other side, everything was normal. Brown, tall rainforest trees with vines and leafy greens. Vibrant mushrooms and birds. She looked around, noticing that the canopy was so thick, that hardly any sunlight shined through. She continued on through the ferns and shrubs, untill she came to a stop. The scent of somthing strange breezed past her nose.

She looked around, starting to feel a small panic. Her whole body paused when a large lunar oceolot leaped at her. This would be no match for a adult wolf, but Scrounge was just a pup! She whimpered in fear, ducking down when a large, fit, dark-pelted female wolf snatched up the oceolot. Scrounge was saved! The adult female threw the oceolot down, and spoke in a terrifying, fur-chilling growl.
"How dare you invade our territory, and attack this poor pup!"
The lunar oceolot puffed up it's fur and hissed.
"It doesn't smell like the others! That "poor pup" is an invader!"
Though the oceolot didn't seem to afraid, Scrounge was shaking due to this scary situation. Not only that, the wolf's voice shook the ground as she spoke, it sounded almost other-worldly.
"The spirits would never invite a un-worthy soul here!" Her lips rolled back and her pearly white fangs barred with no dought or hesitation. "Leave! Before things get ugly."
The lunar oceolot hissed and retreated, muttering the words of somthing like;
"You wolves arn't supposed to be here anyways."

The adult relaxed and her eyes softened. As she looked at the pup. Scrounge could now get a full look at her.

She smiled and spoke in a soft growl.
"It's ok little pup, I'm very sorry if I scared you."
Scrounge didn't say anything as she tried to calm. The adult seemed much friendlier now, and felt she could trust her. Calm enough to speak, Scrounge spoke up.
"Th-thank you very much... You saved my life."
"It was no problem, what are you doing here anyways?"
"I.." Scrounge adjusted her posture. "I'm lost.. I don't know how I got here."
The female looked satisfied with Scrounge's answer.
"I see, I know how you got here. Follow me and I'll explain as I get you somewhere safe."
Scrounge smiled as the female helped her up. Walking together, Scrounge told her name to the female.
"Scrounge."

Lore: SpoilerScrounge ran through the trees and came to a lake, she decided to stop for water. She sat watching the fish swim by, as she leaned to take a sip of water she froze.

"I wouldn't drink that it i were you," a new voice called. She lifted her head and came face to face with a wolf. Their appearance was strange, she'd seen black patches on fur before, but never like this.

They gaze at her with black eyes and blue iris' from across the lake, and turned to make their way over. They rounded the lake jumping over the small creek that fed into it.

As they stood beside her she could see now why the patches looked strange. They were moving, changing patterns as if they were water. Scrounge felt the fur on the back of her neck rise.

"Why is that?" The other wolf laughed, "its infected so it's not safe to drink at the moment, here follow me." Scrounge did feeling a strong trust in this wolf, they genuinely tried to help her.

The black patched wolf brought her to a stream, they explained it was safe to drink. So she bent down and took a sip, once she was done she turned to the other.

"Your a traveler right?" They asked, Scrounge nodded, "great! Come meet the others." She followed closely as they led her through the trees and to a waterfall. They slid through and scrounge was in awe at the gemstones protruding from the rocky walls.

Scrounge excitedly found herself welcomed into such a strange pack, who was surprisingly lead by a… herbalist? They called their pack Colpo Di Fortuna, unfortunately Scrounge wasn't quite sure what that even meant. Kateri, the leader of the pack seemed quite welcoming but looked so very tired. Scrounge could tell that she was a very busy wolf.

Scrounge had done countless things in her time with the pack, she even had pups! But she knew her time had come to an end and it was time to move on out in the world to travel to see new sights.

Lore: Scrounge's arrival at Vadon Village had been a tense to say the least. The pack was, to say the least, falling apart before her very eyes. The aging leader, Malachi, looked as old as the earth beneath her paws and his beta seemed to be trying to keep everything together. She decided to only stay a short time as to not stress out the already frazzled and dwindling pack. Giving a short goodbye to the pack alpha and beta, Scrounge quickly went on her way, wishing peace and prosperity for Malachi's pack.
