Snowsbane said he had another name, before he joined Enbarr. A human had come with him, his companion of sort, yet as Clingdrop watched from the crevice, knelt down to Snowsbane, and left. Snowsbane did not talk about his human companion, but perhaps they were noble, as the wolf quickly knelt towards Clingdrop, stating that he believed his true place belonged with other wolves.
The first few moons were difficult for him to get used to. He had been a solo hunter previously, caring only for him and his companion, and so waiting to consume prey before the allotted time was a bad habit he had to break. Dealing with so many other wolves at the same time was overwhelming, and he had to spend much longer times than the others to get used to them. His crude lamp, one he lit with branches, was initially a burden, and not many wolves liked him.
That all changed when Lykia, the little pup with another head that belonged to her brother, noticed the lamp and could not help asking about it. Like many other wolves, Snowsbane was initially taken aback by her lethally mutated appearance, but was pleasantly surprised by the puppy's enthusiasm. After teaching her how he ignited it during his solo night patrols, he allowed her to practise with a small twig in the winter, and felt that the glow in her eyes mirrored his own whenever he thought about his companion gifting him the lamp.
Now, when Mayserle and Cacyra allow them, the unlikely duo walk small stretches of Enbarr territory together, holding their tiny branches of sunlight as they protect the forest together. Though Snowsbane has to return her to camp after long, her friendship keeps him company for the rest of the trek.
