Eros

Eros' name was granted upon entrance into Osteon. much about his background is unknown. the day First Leader Gar met Eros, she was visiting a nearby river for a drink. a handful of wolves dotted either edge of the river, sating their thirst. Gar approached the river, leaning down to take a drink, when she heard a wolf emerge from the treeline behind her. this new wolf began approaching the other wolves one by one, seeming to speak with each one for only a moment before moving on to the next. Gar noticed this wolf had a pair of shy, white pups following her closely; a mother, perhaps? before Gar knew it, the desperate mother was upon her: "please take these two pups, they can't stay in my pack. they're brothers, they must stay together. can you help me?"

Gar stopped drinking from the river, lifting up her head. she looked at the mother, who had a wild look in her eyes, and then down at the two white pups who cowered behind her. Gar had many questions for this lady, such as "what's going on?" and "why me?" and "who are you?" this whirlwind encounter left Gar speechless, but finally she blurted out "sure?" and immediately the mother was profusely thanking her and whispering to the two pups "it's alright," and to "go with her," and "i love you always." not long after, the mother was trotting back up the bank of the river before disappearing into the trees. she was never seen again.

Eros was adopted into the pack with his identical twin brother Cupid. the brothers will never be separated.

"Diognetus Erythraeus says that once Venus [Aphrodite] and her son Cupid [Eros] came in Syria to the river Euphrates. There Typhon [Typhoeus] suddenly appeared. Venus [Aphrodite] and her son threw themselves into the river and there changed their forms to fishes, and by so doing this escaped danger."
