Lore Entry: SpoilerGrayson learned very quickly that every wolf in Viskande Vindar had to pull their weight. "We have little time, and even less resources," came the explanation. "We have to ensure that we can make it through to the next day, especially when travellers come."

"How can I help?" he offered, eager to do his part. "I'm not a strong hunter, but I can do my best."

Twisted Spruce examined him carefully, her blue eyes narrowed in thought. "You will be valuable," she said at last. "You have the build of a ten'arii (chaser), and there are other visitors who can teach you to hone your natural abilities."

The summer passed quickly, hours spent running after prey. Grayson caught little, but was praised for what he and his huntmates did catch. The prey began to grow scarcer, the weather colder. He was used to the chill in the mountains, where he was born, but the glaciers were far crueler, and the burden on Viskande Vindar would only increase. He said his goodbyes, thanking the pack profusely for their teachings, and left to find a pack that wouldn't be so cold in the looming winter.

Lore Entry: SpoilerUpon entering the coniferous forest, an owl was found dead by Grayson next to a stream. The wolf looked sadly upon it and took what he could from the owl's body, salvaging some talons and a single pristine feather. Whatever had killed that owl had left it mangled, unbothered to eat it. No, whatever had killed the owl, was killing for sport. Without hestitation, Grayson took it upon himself to warn the nearest pack, the Kingdom of Light. Their Queen Aloy appreciated this so much, she invited the traveler to stay with them until the pack wolves knew what was killing for sport in their territory. It would be safest that way. One of the apprentices of the pack helped Grayson craft an owl talon necklace, and one of the mothers of the pack assisted him in weaving the pristine owl feather into his neck fur. He began hunting with one of the several parties that left to safe hunting grounds each day of his stay, gaining knowledge of the northern taiga and some of the grasslands nearby. He found solace in hunting alongside the rest of the Prarie hunting party, and was even a little smitten with Eloire, who would often finish the hunts- and she was good at it, too. However, Eloire was still grieving her last pairbonded mate, Grouse, who had passed away in his sleep beside her of old age. Grayson didn't waste his time trying to do much more than be friends with the finisher. Magma seemed to have joined the hunting party recently and was only just learning to chase efficiently when Grayson joined the Prarie hunters. The two spent considerable amounts of time together discussing hunting tactics.
Grayson was asked by Magdalene to take her litter of four rambunctious puppies, Jalinsil, Janie, Jonah, and Jorge, out on a lesson so she could go to the neighboring pack where their littermate Jeffrey was living at the time. Grayson obliged, hesitantly, and took them out to a nice clearing in the coniferous forest territory to learn about how to tussle safely with one another. After spending plenty of time with the Kingdom of Light, the traveler moved on, bidding the kind wolves farewell.
