Swan Song:
Many have heard the legend of a swan's final song. Some seek out the truth, while others believe that it must be wrong. A howl is heard throughout the forest as the clear lake turns red, the swan's small snowy feathers spread out in the water it once slept. The pitter patter of paw-steps rush away from the scene, a limp cygnet dangling from the proud predators mouth as it leaps into a nearby tree.
Now, the puppy lay, pupilless eyes scanning over everywhere they could see. They'd howl again, this time sounding more distorted than the last. One last glance was given to the distressed cygnet's parents, before the fanged animal began to eat the creature that shared the same name as it was previously called: Swan.
