The Punishment for Infidelity

TRIGGER WARNING: Puppy death
She thought she could get away with it. The pack's "Princess", Mecionice, thought she could get away with having children with another wolf who wasn't the king. She could only hide the fact for so long until her pups were finally born in early spring, later than the king expected. That was because she tried to play smart when cheating on king Akuma. The outcome was inevitable, however.

When Mecionice had her litter of 5 on the territory outskirts, the king was quick to track her down with two of his guards. She tried to hide her pups from him, but when he saw that none of the pups had the slightest bit of resemblance of him, the king was sent into a rage. One by one, the king brutally mauled the newborn pups in front of her, taking away lives that had barely begun. Mecionice wasn't nearly as strong as the king, so all she could do was curl up and protect the last two pups by her side.

Before the king could get rid of the remaining two pups, Mecionice begged for their lives to be spared, instead asking for herself to be punished instead of watching the rest of her pups being mercilessly slaughtered in front of her. The king ordered his guards to bring her remaining pups back to the territory's heart, and soon the king was dragging the grief struck mother back to the pack. There, she was brutally mauled by the rest of the king's guards while her remaining two pups were placed under the care of a different nursing mother.

After the mauling was done, Mecionice was left with rather serious injuries. Under the king's order, the remaining two pups of Mecionice were to leave the pack as soon as they were old enough to eat meat. The grieving mother only found a small bit of comfort from that, but it meant she would never be able to see her pups again after they were sent away
