Shadow had been a good friend of Lost's for a while. He was sneaky and Lost had (mostly) gotten used to his tricks.
He met a wolf who looked like the opposite of himself, called Snowblind. He was transfixed by his white coat and bright eyes. They had talked on and off since Snowblind had been accepted in, and they found they enjoy each other's company.
They ended up forming a pair bond, but were anxious about sharing it the pack. Shadow called for Lost and asked to talk to him in private. Lost's ear twitched. "What is it?"
"We... Decided to form a pair bond, and would like to adopt a puppy from the Enclave." Shadow hesitated.
Lost was still for a moment like he was trying to process what he was told. Right when Shadow began to worry Lost's tail went into full swing, kicking up dirt and leaves as it wagged on the ground.
"That's great news!" He barked. He had had Shadow in his pack for almost a year and wondered if he'd ever find that special wolf.
Shadow was shocked. He had experienced a much harsher reaction once before while in the wild for showing interest in another male wolf.
Lost stood up and congratulated them; he was more than happy to take them to the bear at the Enclave and see what puppy they'll take home to raise as their own.
