Lore: Birch's sibling, Meep, was chosen to be a hunter, but there was no place for Birch--- she wanted to be a traveling wolf from a young age.
~Birch returned from playing with the other pack pups, sporting an interesting new bruise on her forehead. She quietly informs you that she doesn't understand how elk can charge head-first at each other without getting hurt. Hopefully Birch and her friends won't be playing that game again.
~Birch The Traveler asserts without a shred of doubt that what they have for you is exactly what you need.

Lore: Birch found her first pack only a few hours later. There were wolves at the entrance to the camp. One of them had a dragon on his back. She was even an adol, just like Birch! Birch quickly trotted up to the wolves to introduce herself, when the dragon started roaring. Birch stopped in her trackes and the two wolves looked at her. Birched huffed and quickly spoke, "um, hi? I'm Birch and I'm a traveler. Well i mean i guess you already knew that. But I was just trotting by, i didn't mean to disturb you an then your dragon started..." She talked on and on. The two wolves tilted their heads. The adol walked over to her and smiled, "Hello, im NightHawk. We don't take travelers for...safety reasons. Anyways I will escort you out of the territory so you don't die." Birch perked his ears, "So I don't what?!" NightHawk chuckled, "If You stay here our leader will personally rip your throat out." Birch just stood there in shock. NightHawk flattened his ears, "This is the part where you run in fear and leave us behind in misery." Birch was out there in a flash, she was not about to die!

Lore: Birch found herself at the borders of yet another pack. While Mistletoe was out scouting she ran into Birch. She was tentative to approach same with Birch. "State your business and who you are." Mistletoe would be blunt and to the point. "M-my name is Birch. I am a traveller seeking shelter for a couple nights." Mistletoe gave a nod and motioned with her maw towards the campsite. "Come on then." She said and Birch quickly followed.
Once inside the pack she realized this was nothing like the other one she just met, there were plenty of travelers and pups! She was brought to the travelers den where she met with their former traveler Odette. Odette greeted her with kindness and explained how she was preparing her son for his journey as a traveler.
Birch enjoyed her stay within the pack, she also found out that in that time a new alpha had been selected and the son wasn't too happy about it, especially since the new would be alpha was from a different pack altogether. When the time came to leave she bid her farewells and set off once again.

Lore:
Starved and stripped of all her belongings, Birch eventually made her way home. She tore into a whitetail carcass her mother gave her. Her mother had aged and was thinking about the next leader of Dhaura pack. Nayeli was aggrieved that a pack had neglected her daughter after offering her sanctuary. So much so that she refused to allow Birch to leave again, and that Alone, another traveler currently training, would never leave the pack. Birch took Alone and ran away. She knew that not all packs were terrible, some cared, and Alone deserved the chance to see the world. And so did she.

Lore: Birch ended up in a big valley in the mountains, where she stayed for several days. There she met a group of wolves who insisted on calling them a flock, not a pack. Some looked a little strange and had feathers in their fur. They welcomed her kindly though, and her stay was mostly spent on playing with the little ones who wandered around the camp.
Based on what she had managed to observe, all wolves were close to each other, whether they had feathers in their fur or not, and none of them considered it anything special. The pack leader was one of those wolves, but Birch had not met her personally. The leader, called the Matriarch, often ventured out of camp for solitary walks through the territory. Soon it was time for Birch to move on.
Pack Name and ID: Starshade Pack (#50618)
Decor added: Red Oak Branch [Red]
Lore: Birch found herself in a large deciduous forest as the sun was beginning to set. She walked into the forest, curious and intrigued, and was surprised when she was met with a blue mist under her paws that lined the bases of the trees. A loud caw snapped her from her thoughts and she looked up in time to see a large raven fly overhead. Its long black feathers appeared to be tipped with blue at the ends and the creature seemed to glow almost unnaturally. Birch had no idea what to make of the creature. She was reminded of the wolves from the Hidden Valley flock and found herself enchanted by the bird, following its glistening feathers further into the trees.
She stopped finally when she was out of breath and had lost sight of the bird, glancing about, lost. The scent of a nearby wolf caught her attention and she turned, ready to fight in case she had stumbled upon another's territory.
The wolf who approached had a soft glow to his coat, brighter on his lower fur and some spots on his sides. He bowed to Birch to show that he meant no harm. He explained the bird she was following was a lunar raven from the lunar plane. The woods where he lived was filled with lunar energy and lunar creatures will sometimes cross over to the mortal plane mistaking it for theirs as a result. The wolf introduced himself as Léonce and explained that the glow of his pelt came from markings in his fur that resonated with the lunar energy.
He offered Birch a place to stay at the Starshade Pack, and she happily accepted. The pack's home was at the heart of the forest, where the trees grew so dense that not even starlight could penetrate the leaves. It was a space shaded from the stars. But still it was bright from the blue essence and the glow of the wolves within the space. Roots grew together and made large hollows in the ground that were cleaned out for dens. Birch was invited into a den that housed other travelers and a scout and herbalist.
As she stayed in the Starshade Pack, Birch learned how to watch the Starshade puppies by day and learned from Léonce some strength and finishing tips by night. The two became fast friends.
When it was time for them to part, Léonce gave Birch a large branch from a red oak tree, red leaves still vibrant on the wood. She accepted it happily and took it with her as a reminder of the Starshade Pack while continuing her travels.

Lore: Birch liked her stay in the Chain Pack. Still, she thinks it was a wise decision to leave. The wolves did look strange...
Birch returned home to find her mother had died, and she decided to retire early, putting her traveling behind her she settled down as a pupsitter.
