Kieston had brought his pack up from nothing. A mismatch of misfits and undesirables, Kieston had acquired each of his original packmates from other leaders who were giving them away for one reason or another. He'd grown his pack quickly, gaining more space and more confidence as the days grew long. Soon the first litters were born, and quickly too were the first among them who would stay. Tulip, a special pup with a special heart, grew quickly among the packmates with her dedicated personality. They honoured their first born, caring for her deeply and accustoming the packs home for her accordingly. Kieston often reflects back on his pack, on the wolves he took under his wing, on what they managed to bring up from nothing. He sleeps easy each night, his body curled around his daughter, Velkie, protectively, knowing that his legacy will be brought through for generations.
