Tanzi

Backstory:
Tanzi was born on the mountain peak in the full moon to Aoife a highly respected seer and a she-wolf of important lineage. So she grew up in Heimdallr's Paws pack, she loved her packmates especially her older brother Stan-wor who taught her a lot of important survival skills. As she got older she started to think about what she wanted to do, she decided that she will stay with her pack as a hunter and in time raise her own puppies someday, she thought that would make her happy.

But fate didn't have that in plan for her. And Aoife knowing the future decided to tell her the truth - that she is infertile and that staying there would just make her sad and resentful, but she can still find her happiness if she can find the night's glow, Tanzi was heartbroken, but decided that if she wanted to live a fulfilling live she had to part ways with her pack and family and find her own purpose.

So after tearful goodbyes to her mom, brother and rest of the pack she went her way across many biomes untill she found a small praire pack - the Night-glow pack. She immediately realised what the name meant, she belonged here and this was her home.

Tanzi befriended her new packmates easily, they understood her somehow, quickly she started recognising them as her family but something was missing. The wind in her pelt as she ran actoss the world meeting different wolves and packs- she really missed that feeling. So she decided to travel, now with a forever home where she can return waiting for her whenever she needs.

So she picked a random direction and ran, stumbling onto a new pack, with new memories to make:

Story: Tanzi padded carefully with her pack in her mind. How would it be now? She couldnt believe she was traveling again after so long. It was night as she padded carefully towards the woods. and sniffed the air. Wolves! "Excuse me? Who are you?" a she wolf with a curious but fea rless gaze. "Uh- Hi! im Tanzi!" "Hm. what brings you to sunland and nightland territory?" She asks. "What?" Tanzi tilts her head. "We are two packs. I am springmoon, alpha of Nightland pack. The other alpha is currenly sleeping. she is Clovermoon. leader of sunlands pack but sometimes called Luckypack." Springmoon explained. "Oh! wow! I've never seen a pack like that." Tanzi replied. "Yes. unique isnt it? we hunt the night prey they get the day." She padded carefully more towards Tanzi. "But still what are you doing on our territory?" Springmoon asks. "Oh! Im a traveler." Tanzi explained. "Oh. how wonderful. You know we all use to have different names. Luckypack spilt into two packs. I use to be known as beauty. now I am known as springmoon. I use to be a traveller." She told Tanzi. "Oh! Really?" Tanzi asked a bit surprised. Springmoon nodded. "Here I invite you to join Nightland pack intill you want to leave." Springmoon gestured for her to follow with a swig of her tail. "Thank you!" Tanzi padded up to springmoon. "Its nothing." Springmoon flickered her tail. As you arrived it seemed there was a line of herbs. "The herbs is what keeps the peace in our two packs. I am very...close to clover although..." As the name seemed to hang for a second clover came out of the den. "Springmoon! Who is this? You know I dont like travellers." Clovermoon growled. "Well shes staying on nightpaw land." Springmoon rolled her eyes. Clovermoon let out a Hmph. before nuzzling Springmoon and going back to her den. Springmoon smiled and led Tanzi toward the den. After sometime,
Tanzi had to go home but enjoyed the stay with the two packs. Clovermoon seemed to warmup around Tanzi. Tanzi had a great time.

Story Tanzi soon found herself in the mountains again. This time at the foot of the mountains in a secluded area. She stumbled across Mistletoe as he was out scouting new regions. "We just got a new pack so our scouting schedules are messed up. Anyway you must be a traveler, come on this way." He didn't give her much time to say anything as he padded towards the camp.

Tanzi enjoyed spending time with the members of the pack and getting to know them. She enjoyed telling stories with the other pack members and hearing the other travelers stories. By the third day she was itching to get going again however. She bid her farewells not realizing something from the lunar world was following her.

Story: Tanzi was filled with excitement when she was back on her paws again and going to see a new pack. Yes, she'd miss all the friends she made, but she couldn't wait to see more wolves and make even more new friends! She found herself in a large deciduous forest, the leaves beautiful shades of reds and yellows. The sun had just gone down and the stars twinkled overhead. They seemed so bright here, she found herself mesmerized by them. She almost didn't notice how muddy it was where she was walking until she nearly slipped. It must've rained recently.

As it got darker in the trees, a blue mist seemed to surround the place. The hoot of an owl startled her and she looked up to see a rather large owl eyeing her from a nearby tree. Its feathers glowed with energy as did its eyes. The creature put Tanzi on edge. She braced herself to run should it seem like she needed to.

"Hey there!"

Tanzi yelped and spun around, startled. She blinked a few times and shook her pelt out as she identified a wolf presenting welcoming body language. "H-hi there. Sorry, you spooked me."

The wolf dipped his head in apology. He was a silver male with eyes of a purple hue and appeared to glow gently. "No, I should be the one to apologize. I should know better than to come up to wolves and say hi unannounced. I'm no better than a pup yet I'm the oldest hunter of the pack, how silly," the male laughed.

"It happens all the time," Tanzi reassured. "I'm Tanzi, by the way. I'm traveling. Do you know where I might find a pack that'll let me stay for a while?"

"Why not stay here? You're in Starshade territory. My name's Narayana . We love taking travelers here, extra paws are always welcome we have so many pups."

Tanzi's eyes brightened. Even if they weren't her own pups, she always wanted to care for some. "I'd be happy to help! I may not have much experience watching pups, but I'm a fast learner!"

"Come with me, then. Welcome to the Starshade Pack," Narayana welcomed happily.

"How come your pelt glows and what was with the owl?" Tanzi asked curiously.

"Oh, that was a charged owl. Those things are nasty to fight and very territorial. You're lucky it didn't come down and give you a peck. Maybe it knew you weren't from here. These woods are filled with lunar energy and lunar creatures visit our world from their realm because of this energy. Growing up surrounded by lunar essence, my pelt has a natural glow to it. You might glow a bit too once you leave!" Narayana explained with a happy woof.

He led Tanzi to the densest part of the woods where the trees grew so closely together, starlight couldn't shine through. The roots in twined with one another and created large holes in the ground where the wolves hollowed them out and made them their dens.

"I have another hunt I need to be a part of, but please, get to know the pack! I'll see you around!" Narayana said, trotting off.

Tanzi settled in and quickly asked to help care for some of the pack's pups. Her favorite to looks after was Lucien who had come to Starshade from another pack. He was always a bit sad and down on himself but Tanzi enjoyed being able to help him cheer up and feel confident in his skills.

Soon her stay had come to an end. She learned much from the Starshade wolves about pups and lunar creatures alike. On her way out Narayana pointed her to his favorite mudslide, the same place she happened to slide on coming in! With a howl of gratitude and a wag of her tail, Tanzi headed off for her next adventure.

Story: Tanzi ended up in a valley located in the mountains. The region was changing beautifully due to the autumn season. She wandered around this new land for a few days until one day she heard a bear roar. She was already about to move away in the opposite direction when she also heard the sounds of what she thought was another wolf.
Curious, she ran toward the noise. In a clearing in the middle of the forest, she saw a scene of a fight between a grizzly and a wolf with fur covered with.... feathers?
She was about to come out of her hiding place to somehow help the stranger, but it became obvious that the she-wolf didn't need that help. She grabbed the bear's ear and with a firm tug she tore it. The upset bear roared again and tried to hit her with its paw, but she jumped away.
Tanzi caught herself unconsciously rooting for the she-wolf in this fight. The two animals exchanged a few more strikes and it looked like the stranger would manage without help. She finally chased away the grizzly, which was bleeding profusely from the ear.
Tanzi dared to come out of her hiding place and approached the stranger at a distance of a few meters.
"Did you enjoy the show?" asked the female, at the same time turning around and meeting the traveler's eyes.
"Um, actually, yes!" replied Tanzi, also looking at the she-wolf with interest. "You fought well."
Apart from the feathers in her fur, she looked quite ordinary. She may have had a few scars on her muzzle and body, but she looked like she liked to fight, so the fact that she had them did not surprise Tanzi at all.
"You're not from around here. Traveler?" the female asked, approaching and sniffing Tanzi from a meter away.
"Yes!" Tanzi smiled a little, happy that this wolf is not hostile, like she was with the bear and seems to know about the traveling wolves.
"Sometimes we likes of you here. They stay a few days and then move on. Are you looking for a place to rest or are you just passing through?" the wolf started to walk in the direction opposite to which the bear run away.
"Actually, I would like to stay here if possible" said Tanzi and followed the female. "The surroundings seem pleasant, and I haven't met too many other predators. There is a lot of prey."
"Oh, I'm glad you noticed. That's because I drive away all the predators" she grinned. "Follow me and I will lead you to my flock's camp. Name's Layat, by the way. But you'll probably meet others who call me Matriarch."
During the few days that Tanzi spent with the Hidden Valley flock (the wolves insisted on calling their group a flock, not a pack which was interesting to her), she didn't get to spend as much time with Layat as she did during their first conversation. The female often patrolled the territory and returned to camp covered in wounds and tired after a day spent on fighting. Tanzi tried several times to initiate a conversation with, as she learned, the leader of the pack, but she seemed absorbed in her duties. Tanzi somewhat regretted this because the she-wolf intrigued her and she wanted to get to know her better. All her attempts to get closer and even attempts at flirting with the leader, however, proved fruitless.
It was time for her to move on. Her role as a traveler meant that she didn't have much time to form bonds with the wolves she encountered, even if they seemed intriguing to her, like Layat. Something like this just wasn't meant for her.
One day, she said goodbye to the wolves who welcomed her in their home and she continued on her way.

Story:Tanzi was wandering the caves of some unknown mountains when she was once again greeted by a strange wolf. "Hello Traveler!" The stranger greeted,"Are you looking for a place to stay?" Tanzi tilted her head at the stranger before replying, "If it wouldn't be any trouble for your pack." The wolf shrugged before turning down an unseen path, "Should be no issue, we've had lots of travelers around lately, let me lead you back to our home before I must head out again."
Tanzi soon learned the stranger's name was Eria and that she was the leader of the Winterset Pack who resided in these remote mountains.
The wolves of the mountain pack were friendly, if a bit strange. Whispers of legends and stories echoed from the peaks, leaders made of snow? Wind that speaks the future? One would have thought that the pack had been around as long as the mountains if it wasn't for the founders and their kin that still loved among them.
Tanzi tried to ask more about the pack to Eria but the young lead always seemed so busy, only stopping by her den to check in before heading off on some other task. She spent her days conversing with the other wolves of the pack and while their legends remained a mystery, their current way of life was very pleasant.
Soon enough it came time for her to set out on her journey again, Eria made sure she was around to escort her to the main paths before wishing her well in her travels.
