What had originally started off as a war between several packs, turned into a long winded fight of escaping extinction. Kore was born in the late spring, where war was already rampant and struggle was a normal. His mother, much like the rest of the barely there pack, had barely any fertility, and struggled to even have pups. Kore was a surprise to most and they guarded him with every ounce of strength they could. By the time he was 4 months old, only 4 wolves where left and at that point, just surviving was becoming too much of an effort. The pack disbanded, his mother dragging him away into the far reaches of the forest, where she eventually perished from hunger. A lone pup, Kore could do nothing but run in a direction in hopes that someone would find him. For a long time, nobody did. Coming close to death, Kore laid by what he assumed was a carcass and decided that he would pass on there.
What he thought was a carcass, turned to be another sleeping emaciated wolf. A she-wolf who was infertile. She adopted Kore and even though they both struggled food wise, they crossed out of the plains and into the lush mountains where the food was far more abundant. The weather was unforgiving but they slowly adapted. As his newfound mother taught him everything she could, Kore grew up learning that everything that you could ever need, needed to come from your paws. After his mother passed on, Kore found Regalia and for a brief moment, the two despised one another before vaguely agreeing that neither would be able to survive without the other. Teaming up and working together, they've raised a pack they didn't think was possible.
