Lore: Ares stayed for a while in ShiningStone pack, helping out the pack with things they needed to be done. He did a lot of hunting with a group of young wolves around his age. They were friendly and got along well, and helping out the pack made him happy. One night more than 6 puppies were born, and he was asked to help watch them. For the remainder of his stay, he helped watch puppies and kept them safe.

Lore: Ares pawed through the thick snow, eyes squinting from the blizzard onslaught beating against his body. He was looking for a pack, searching for 3 days now and surviving off of small rodents and scarfing down ice. In the white haze, he caught glimpse of a snowy den. He let out a howl of excitement and bounded over to the mound. Most of it was covered in snow, but he could hear yipping and the sound of scuffling bodies from within. Eager to introduce himself as a friendly traveller, he barked and yipped keenly, grabbing the attention of several adult wolves. Two emerged, a black and white she-wolf with blue adorning, and a strong looking orange pelted hunter.
The assumed pack leader howled softly, an invitation to reciprocate and deem himself as a non-threat. Ares licked his lips and howled back, both wolves howls echoing through the blizzard. With a bark of approval and several excited licks, the leader and the hunter lead him back into the den to stay and get acquainted with the arctic-dwelling pack.

On A Cold WInter Night, Ares Walked Through Tundra. Looking Desperately For A Small Warm Cave. It Hurt To Breath, Every Breath He Took Felt Like His Lungs Were Ready To Burst. He Laid Down Onto The Soft Yet Deadly Snow. He Curled Up Trying To Warm Himself.

When Ares Awoke, He Found Himself In A Small Cave. His Eyes Adjusted To The Very Dark Cavern, And He Looked Around, To Find A Beautiful White She-Wolf
`` Hello There, How Are You Feeling? `` She Asked, Her Dark Gaze Fixed Upon His
`` W-where I'm I? `` Ares Asked
`` Your In Our Tribes Heart `` The She-Wolf Responded Lightly
`` Rest Now, I'll Fetch Our Healer `` Without Another Word, She Left The Cave.
Ares Laid His Head Back Down, He Jerked It Back Up When He Heard Small Snuffling. He Focused His Ears Where The Small Noise Had Come From. He Realized It Was A Very Tiny Pup. Too Tiny.

Two Wolves Entered The Small Cavern, The White She, And A Pretty Male.
`` Hello, How Are You? I'm Angel This Tribe's Herbalist. Your A Traveler, Where Were You Headed? `` Angel Asked Softly, Looking Over Ares's Paws.
`` I Was Headed To My Next Stop, Wherever That Was `` Ares Mumbled

`` There Is A Reason Why We Have Separate Caverns `` A Low Growl Answered.
The Three Wolves Jerked Their Heads Towards It.
`` My Apologies Ammit, But You Know Very Well That The Nursery Is The Warmest Cave. This Wolf Was On The Verge Of Freezing To Death `` Angel Apologized

Ammit Narrowed Her Eyes, Angel Looked Away, Yet Remained His Posture.
`` If You Wake, ONE pup, I'll Make Sure You Hear Of It `` Ammit Growled Softly, She Left The Cave.
Angel Sighed And Turned Back To Ares.
`` Once Your Ready, I'll Take You To My Cavern `` Angel Wrapped Ares's Paws.

Ares Grew Stronger With The Passing Days. Pups Enjoyed His Company In The Cavern, Where Ammit Let Him Stay. Once Ares Was Ready To Leave, Angel Gave Him Some Advice On Herbs, And How Not To Get Cold-Paws.

Ares trudged his way through the tundra and headed down south towards the mountains, hoping for the weather to be a bit more calm than it was up north. Little did he know he was being followed, and before he knew it he was face to face with a large scarred wolf staring him down. At this point, he was at the edge of the coniferous forest and entering into mountainous territory. Nevertheless, the wolf stared, ears perked up and alerted. Before Ares said anything, the stranger spoke up.

"So, if I am to assume, you must be a traveler" The large wolf stated. Bold this wolf appeared, but his graceful movements suggested more to him. Being this scarred up Ares would have thought he'd be broody and stoic, but his actions proved otherwise.

"Well, then you'd assume correct. The name's Ares, are you perhaps a leader around here?" Ares greeted. The two wolves sniffed each other before the stranger introduced themself.

"I go by Crow, nothing more nothing less. Now a leader, you could say I am, you could say I'm not. If you're talking officially, then no. But I pretty much do everything for my pack. My actual 'leader' is getting old and I'm the next one in line" he replied. "A bit arrogant," Ares thought to himself, but Crow went on.

"Say, you seem awfully hungry for a traveler. Most who come by our pack are already fed by their previous ones, but you're a bit different. No matter, you can come stay with us in exchange for pup- sitting" he suggested. "Of course, only if you want to".

Ares pondered for a bit but quickly answered. "Y'know what, sure, why not? You seem like an interesting fellow" he responded, but muttered at the end, "Ugh pups again".

"Yes, pups! It's the perfect time of season for the little ones to be born. Oh, the thought of fathering one someday is one of the few thoughts that keep me living on. Though I have quite a lot to live for nowadays. Anyways, you should be glad you ran into me and not Bandit, the soundrel..." Crow rambled as he started trotting towards the direction of his pack. Ares followed swiftly behind him.

Ares soon got to work pup-sitting and was provided with an empty cave all to himself to rest in and plenty of trinkets and carcasses to feast on. Thankfully the pack didn't have much work to do, as he was only required to pupsit one of the pack's Mojave pups, but he soon noticed that adolescents were all over the place. He was told this pack raises wolves from puppies to yearlings, and then bids them farewell on a journey hoping they'll find new homes. "A bit similar to traveling wolves, but they don't have a home pack," a mentor named Titanium told him.

A few days later, as Ares got ready for his departure, he noticed an island fox seemed to be taken to him.

"Oh yes, the fox. I figured it'd be nice to have a companion along your journey" Crow mentioned. "And something to remember us by" he winked.

Ares chuckled a bit, and as he headed to his next destination Crow stared at him, similar to the first day they met.

SpoilerNow with a fox bounding alongside him, Ares moved to his next pack. He headed east from the mountains which bordered the last pack he was at, and crossed over the grasslands without seeing a single wolf. Soon the deciduous forest loomed before him, and the darkness beyond the trees sucked at his paws. Was it supposed to look like this?

Reluctantly he and his fox padded on, and soon, after many, many steps, a clearing could be seen in the trees ahead. The fox - Who he decided was called Scrap - broke into a run, eager to leave the trees and Ares picked up the pace to follow.

Before they could break the treeline a wolf with a muscly build bounded into their path, snarling with their lips raised. "State your name and purpose here." Ares gulped.

"I-I'm Ares, a traveller. And this is Patch. A travelling fox, my companion."

"A fox!" The wolf turned and snapped at the fox 'playfully', not biting him but thoroughly terrifying him. "I'll take you to the leader." Still snarling, the wolf turned and led them across the clearing, occasionally glancing back at the as they walked duly behind him.

The group entered a cave strewn with vines and a female lay stretched on a bed of feathers. "Grey, I hope you haven't been causing trouble..." She said with a pointed look at their guide. "You know how I am Shadow. You shouldn't expect anything less." Grey stated firmly. Shadow sighed and got into a sitting position.

She smiled at Ares, ignoring Grey for now. "Let me guess, you're a traveller?" Her gaze travelled to his side where Scrap sat stiffly next to him, back straight and tail tucked in tight beside him. "Aww, a little companion too! A fox as well, good choice." Looking back at Ares, Shadow continued with a smile. "Ignore Grey, he is hostile towards everyone, too paranoid that a wolf will come to kill us. So, who might you be?"

Ares smiled back. "I'm Ares, and my companion here is Patch. We're travellers, and we were hoping to stay a bit."

"Well of course you can! Grey will take you to the travellers den and help you get settled in."

Grey just huffed, but turned around, signalling to the two travellers to follow, so they did. They were led to a small cave with nests of grass covering the floor. "Make yourself comfortable." Grey said lowly, before leaving them be.

Ares and Patch chose their nests and for the rest of their stay just relaxed. Ares was glad about the pupsitting break and thoroughly enjoyed his stay but soon it was time for him to go. He told Shadow and that day he was off again, searching for his next pack.

Lore: SpoilerWith the wind buffeting his fur, Ares made it to a rainforest, sheltering both him and the island fox from the gale. Patch was scouting up ahead, for a nearby pack, but Ares kept insisting that he should be the one to find the wolves first in case they think negatively of foxes. When he broke through the thickest of the jungle undergrowth with the fox finally at his side, they both stared in amazement at the stream, lake, and waterfall. Small shapes where dotted far below in the stretch, wolves that seemed to be too unaware of any possible danger. Or maybe it was because they were in the heart of the jungle, they needn't worry about it.
Ares and Patch followed the lake seeing it was on the same level as them, till it parted into a creek, and that led to the waterfall. They navigated down the slope, only till there was a howl when they were half-way down. A wolf had spotted them, and was already leaping up the rocks more efficiently than Ares had, with the pack watching them. She looked wise from her age, brown fur splashed with piebald whites.
"And who do you think you are, storming into our pack?" Her voice wasn't that aggressive, almost teasing as if they had been friends for ages. It felt a bit unfair that Ares was above her on a higher kopje, even though this was her territory.
"I'm a traveller, and this is Patch, my travelling companion," He nodded to the fox beside him. "We mean no harm, we're just looking for a place to stay."
"I'll discuss with our alpha." She gave a slight smile and nod of her head. "You can call me Cereal."
After that, the alpha of the pack, a grey wolf with a black mask marking called Divinity, acknowledged Ares and told him he could reside by the lake further upstream for the remainder of his stay. Other travellers also rested there, and he got to learn more about their travels too. It was a peaceful place, and he even learnt some new hunting techniques, a glad break from more pupsitting, learning how to finish prey in a team. Patch was also enjoying the stay, playing with younger pups and keeping smaller wolves, like the adolescents, in check.
At one point, he and a traveller called Rubus where play fighting near undergrowth, till he crashed into butterflies and couldn't get them out of his fur for the rest of the day. He was embarrassed, but the grey wolf couldn't stop laughing [gained Arctic White]. When the time came for their leave, they left the pack to find new horizons.
