The eager wolf cocks her head to the side when you remain silent, curious as to why you seem unreceptive. "I come bearing no aggression to you or yours! In fact, I'd like to be so bold as to request a place in your pack, if only for a little. Perhaps I could even be of use?" Taken aback by the information you have just been given so suddenly, you pause to consider the request. Patiently, she watches you, coming to sit before you now with a demure smile. "So.. what'll it be?"
A gallant fox with a beautiful platinum coat trots up behind her, coming to rest by her side. "Oh, come already?" She asks the fox. To you now, she says, "This is my companion, Preia! She will come and go, delivering news of how I've been getting on back to my home. She won't be one you need to worry of." The fox yips, seeming to confirm what was just said.

β‘ lore: Eve didn't want to travel too far from her home pack for her first adventure, for she was slightly afraid of something going awry despite how giddy with excitement she was. But she knew the Taiga was large and a days travel wouldn't get her halfway out of it. There were parts the scouts still hadn't fully explored yet.
So she would.
Feeling brave and very good about herself, Eve began her travels with a strut, the always watchful Preia gazing at her from the border. It took but a day and a half for Eve to get the distinct feeling that she was lost. She was also cold and hungry.
Eve paused long enough to take a good look around her surroundings, sniffing at the air despite the chill hurting her nose and lungs. Her ear twitched. She had caught the scent of another wolf. Perhaps they would help her? Deciding to take chance-- that's what she was here for, right?-- She began to follow the scent, although carefully.
It was there she caught an odd sight. A wolf, humming softly to themselves and seemingly pushing sticks and small stones around with a slight paw. Their ear twitched, and they turned although she was being as quiet as she could.
"Hello." They, he, greeted kindly. "Come on out, I don't bite."
Hesitantly, Eve stepped into the clearing looking rather sheepish. "I'm sorry," She said, "I didn't mean to spy."
"You're okay." He replied, smiling softly. "My name is Talos. May I know who you are?"
"Eve." She introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you."
"Likewise." Talos tilted his head, as if listening for something. "Are you, perhaps, a traveler?"
Eve perked up, taking a seat next to the friendly male. "That I am!"
"How excellent. I was a traveler when I was but a pup." He sighed wistfully before returning to his sticks and stones. "Now I study the stars. And, well..." He trailed off.
"I think the study of the stars is a noble profession." Eve replied, nudging the male ever-so-slightly.
"Thank you." He said with genuine gratefulness. "...Would you like to rest back at m-- our-- the dens, I mean. My Alpha is strange and eccentric, but ultimately harmless. She has accepted travelers before."
"I'd really appreciate it. I'll work for my keep, I don't mind."
Talos gave a small, shy, smile. "That's just fine. Follow me, won't you?"

β‘ lore: Just in the thick of the Yule celebrations in the middle of winter, Eve arrived here as a pleasant surprise. The Salmonstone pack had not seen any travelers for many seasons, and were pleased when this newcomer arrived seemingly at a good time. Food was bountiful, and they were in need of some extra assistance with the many litters of pups being born this early. Eve agreed joyously to help manage the rambunctious piles of pups, and Chieftan Mosikayneeuh had even trusted her with some training. A particular young pup took to Eve greatly, and followed her around everywhere, eager to show her all the hidden treasures of their territory, including a large moss covered log where the pup stashed a few trinkets she kept away from her siblings.

The Spirit Dwellers were in the midst of their traditional end of winter celebrations. These celebrations reminded Eve of the Yuletide celebrations of her home, but at a slightly different time of year. With all the preparations to be made for the celebration, the pack was happy to have some extra paws to help out. Eve enthusiastically began helping out with the young pups that always seemed to be under paw. Eve taught the pups about Yuletide and they listened with wonder. After all the celebrating was over, Eve decided it was time to move on to another pack. She said her goodbyes and set off into the spring air.
