Acacia, Birch's first-born pup, came into being on a chilly autumn night. Winds were softly blowing just outside the den and leaves rattled about across the forest floor. Inside, however; warm, soft, and scented with milk. She nuzzled toward the comforting smell and settled in for a cozy first few weeks of life.
