On one of his foraging expeditions, Bear was crossing a nearby river when he stumbled upon a tiny pup drowning and struggling in the river. Quickly, Bear was able to rescue the pup and brought him back to the tribe and nursed him back to health. Bear named the pup Alaster. Alaster had no known family and thus was raised by the Tribe. Grateful to the one who rescued him, Alaster wanted to follow in his footsteps and became the herbalist apprentice. He enjoyed the time he spent with Bear and learned much throughout his pup and adolescent years. After the sudden death of his mentor and rescuer, Alaster became the new Tribe Herbalist and does his best to help preserve the memory of his mentor.
