On the surface, Freyja seems like the perfect wolf and hunter. Shes beautiful, powerful, and and she knows it.
She joined the Woven Moss Pack because Johaan did. She followed him from their old pack after Thorn had recruited him. Stalking the two along their way back to Thorn's camp. She had been obsessed with Johaan since they were pups, and refused to be without him.
Thorn was surprised when she arrived in camp with them but allowed her to stay as she was about to be of age and the pack was still small. At first, Johaan was excited to see her, licking her face and excitedly babbling about all the promises Thorn had made to him. She smirked, wrapping her tail around his side. Now they could be together forever, and with Johaan as the Breeding male of the pack, she could become his official mate early.
Johaan was shocked when she arrived to his den during her heat.
"We're related Freyja, we can't."
Ugh a little hiccup, of course
They shared a grandparent, and Freyja couldn't care less, no matter how wrong it might have been she knew she loved him and they would be together.
He didn't want to go through with it. But Freyja reminded him that if he failed Thorn would be disappointed and might banish him. The naive young wolf panicked, fearful of losing his new family.
He was very upset afterward, refusing to sleep in the den. Though he told no one of the secrets between him and Freyja, fearful of the pack's response. He wished it wouldn't have happened but Freyja was pregnant and soon gave birth too two sons. Johaan loved his sons but still struggled with comprehending what had happened, and he struggled to be around them and Freyja.
Once the two were weaned they here given to the enclave, as much as it hurt Johaan to see his first two sons go, he was slightly relieved they were gone. Freyja, now free of the nursery, clung to Johaan like a leech. Isolating him from his new friends and chasing away any females who got too close.
After a while, Johaan finally stood his ground and created boundaries with her. At first she attempted to threaten him, but finally feeling secure in his position in the pack, he told her to fuck off and left her standing there completely shocked. Freyja wept, feeling like she'd lost everything she cared about, her sons and the love of her life.
The two agreed to remain civil and perform their duties as expected to not arouse suspicion from the pack. Though that doesn't stop the rest of the hunters from sensing the tension.
As she ages Freyja chills out and realizes how awful she had behaved and apologizes to Johaan, he forgives her, and the two remain friends, though at a distance.
