Mire

Growing up starving as a Red Marauder did nothing in terms of gaining her loyalty to the tribe. She fought her way through to adulthood, taking a lot of beatings along the way, until she could earn a spot among the scouts. Once she was able to safely flee; she never looked back.
Hunted by the tribe she is always on the move to avoid recapture, or at least that what she tells herself. In reality things just don't go so well when she tries to settle down. Her aggressive marauder behaviour makes it extremely difficult to be liked—who knew, am I right?—and so as soon as she arrives, she is just as quickly chased off again.

The fresh air never tasted better, because today it finally tasted of freedom. Not wanting to linger close to the tribe, she turned her nose south and trotted off at a slow but consistent pace.

Mire first came across the Howlhaven pack. They were newly established – the kind of pack that would be easy pickings for the Red Marauders, she couldn't help but note. She was equally unimpressed by their hunters; there were only three of them working to feed the whole pack, and while they were good at stalking and chasing their prey, they often failed to finish the job. Even without any previous hunting experience, Mire's strength bred from surviving with the Marauders made her a better finisher than any of them, so she joined them on several hunts. Though this pack was new and fairly dumb about some things, she was surprised to find that their aggressive personalities meshed well with her own.

During a hunt in the prairie, Mire was mesmerized by some of the glowing, otherworldly yellow lights that had shown up that November. When she finally managed to snap out of it, she discovered she had been separated from the other hunters and didn't recognize her surroundings at all. She chose to take this as a sign to move on; those newbies at Howlhaven would have to learn to survive without her.

Following the river back north, Mire soon came across Pont-y-Rhedyn. Unlike the previous pack, this one was well established with a long history - despite this, they were so incredibly soft. It was a wonder how they hadn't been stomped out. Regardless, their hunters had several generations worth of knowledge to impart, and Mire was eager to take advantage of it. With little convincing needed, she was introduced onto the pack's junior hunting party. Though similar in age, her peers were much too easy-going and boisterous for Mire's liking, and she was quick to turn her aggressive attitude on them. The young hunters were easy to influence and eager to prove themselves, quickly falling victim to Mire's goading. Under her sharp words the party started moving further south, taking on more challenging prey in more difficult terrain. This all came to a head in early winter. The party had persued a pack of boar deep into the swamp and, unfamiliar with the boggy landscape, were quickly overcome when the prey retaliated. Unable to flee in time, several of the hunters were grievously injured, one fatally so. Taking advantage of the chaos, Mire slipped away from the distraught hunters. This wasn't an outcome she would be answering for.

Her journey took her to the mountains where she was found by an unusual pack known as the Lunae Lumen Pack . In addition to their long history, they have an odd fascination with the moon. Since she was found at full moon, they believe she may be related to the moon lady, so they should welcome her into their home. Her options were limited and she was tired after an extended journey, so she stayed with them, even though she wasn't sure if it was a good idea.
Taking part in hunting is not possible for her since there are two hunting groups in the new pack. Their preference instead is for her to take care of their puppies, a large number of puppies. Mire wasn't happy, that's why she fled as soon as the opportunity appears. It's best to leave annoying puppies with their own pack.

Lore: Mire quietly padded through the barren tundra when she spotted a small wolf in the distance. Crouching low so the wolf doesn't spot her she watched the little pup prance around a dead bird, thinking what an easy prey this little lone pup would make, when a large wolf the size of a boulder colored like the midnight sky pins her to the ground. Baring his teeth ready to snap her neck he asks "what do you think your doing?" Mire being the aggressive wolf she is bares her teeth back and tries to throw the wolf growling ferociously "I was merely watching the little pup you left undefended", "NO! You were going to pounce on him! My name is Okami and I may be old but nothing and no one will ever harm one of my precious pack pups on my watch. I suggest you scram before this becomes deadly." Mire still baring her fangs decides it is best to move on rather than take this large wolf on she may be fast but if he catches her he would snap her neck in a second. Angrily flicking her tail Mire turns around and runs off deciding her life is worth more than the snack that little pup would've made.

Lore: Stalking around she came across what seemed like burial grounds of sorts. She heard giggle to her right and left she couldn't believe she was spotted. The two young wolves came out one on her right one on her left both female. The one on right says this wolf thinks she can sneak around here Ghoully I think she doesn't realize the other started Oh she looks fun thou right Ghoul? The other replied oh yes she does both started growling in sink. She growls backing up then wolf came behind her saying now Girls you don't need to scare our dear guest his voice had no emotion in it. They circled her the male said I'm Wraith he said this coolly so casual that her skin crawled. She saw opening ran for it Wraith yells well now the rabbits on the run.

Wraith was faster and pinned her she growls and struggles against him. He smiles saying oh thought we could be friends she growls this how you treat your friends? He laughs out No she then noticed his unnatural fangs. She hears a growl and another male rams into Wraith. The two fought Wraith submitted and ran off. The other looks at her and asks in kind voice are you alright he puts out his paw she tries to shake it he moves it saying to slow. He then said I'm Daisuki she stayed with him and his mate that looked identical to Wraith acted like the complete opposite. Daisuki and Danny sneaked her out few days later.

Lore: As soon as Mire left the Haunting Bellows, she headed North, eventually ending up in the Pack of the Bright Sky, they had funny names in her opinion, but they were the biggest pack she had ever seen, they wouldn't have a problem with the Red Marauders, even if the Red Marauders tried, its not like they would anyway, they were in seperate biomes anyway. After a few days of staying she moved on to a different pack after a food shortage.

After having traveled for quite a bit more time than she usually did before running into another pack, she finally landed herself with the harrows. Feeling heavy on her paws, and a right sight grumpier than usual, she was very annoyed when a small hunting party had snagged a scrawny buck she'd been following. They were getting ready to drag the kill back home when the winds shifted and they caught her scent. They'd exchanged looks before shouting at her to reveal herself. She ultimately decided she could take them in a fight if it came to that and stepped out of the brush she was sheltering in. They asked what her business was and where she was from. Mire certainly didn't feel like sharing her whole backstory and just kept it short and simple. The two wolves offered to take her back to the packs dwelling for a couple nights before she continued on her travels. Mire toyed with the idea for a bit and figured she might as well. The larger of the two wolves, who introduced himself as 'Coruscate', hoisted the buck over his back and took the lead. While the other, 'Alder', trailed behind too keep an eye on their new visitor. After quite a bit of walking they finally came upon the great forest the pack called home. They walked even more, the tree started getting taller and more packed in the further they went, the branches above began to intertwine and blocked out the sky. Eventually, the trees started to space out again, and opened up into a clearing. Coruscate branched off with the buck and Alder beckoned Mire over to another wolf, presumably the leader. The leader, Abu, greeted her with a warm smile, though you could see the caution in his eyes. She told him the same story as before and he agreed she could stay a short while, so long as she did her part while with them. He delegated a couple tasks to her, and assigned her to hunt with Alder and Coruscate. Her time with the pack was overall ok. They were all almost equally as hardened as she was, and they were a capable pack. Though the time came when she had to leave, like all travelers. Abu accompanied her to the border, as he'd done many times before, and said his thanks and goodbyes. He offered her a small parting gift, a strange stone, he said it would offer her protection. A price of the pack to go with her on her travels. And she left.
