Knight

Knight watched as Kindleflame left the pack, off to be a traveler. Questions and doubt filled his mind, he was aware that he was meant to be the next leader after Shrimp, but that wouldn't come for many moons. Was he meant to just sit around and do nothing for a good amount of his life?

"Shrimp, I'm aware that you've already lost Kindleflame when he left to become a traveler..but I think I should go too. I want to go on my own journey..to help others.. when the time is right, I'll be back to finish my duties and take over as a leader."

Knight looked up at the lead wolf, tense silence filling the air. Shrimp took a deep sigh, not prepared to send away Knight. Knight was like a son to him.

"You know I'll always miss you, right?"

"Of course. And I, you."

"Okay, you may leave. When you return, tell me and the others of your travels. I'm sure we'd all love to hear about it."

With a final nod, Knight said his goodbyes, and set out on a long journey. He wasn't sure where he'd end up, but nevertheless, he looked forward to the adventure...

After traveling for a couple of hours, Knight came across his first stop. He had heard about The Astra Lupus Pack on his journey from other travelers; interested he carefully walks towards one of the wolves that looks like they could be in charge. Turns out it was the lead wolf, Orion, after talking for a while Knight decides to stay for two days.

Knight travelled day/night through the prairie, over desert dunes and into the mushy wet grounds of the swamp lands.

With unfamiliar territory Knight starts to become disoriented and he begins to loose his way within the swamp lands. He pauses for a moment before letting out a deep low howl in hopes of an answer, a reply came from close behind him as Knight whips around to face who answered his call. Standing atop of a large moss covered log is a female striped quartz coloured wolf staring back at him with her striking blue eyes.
The female wolf spoke "Are you lost?" Knight answered "I apologise I'm Knight from SilentStalk pack, I am travelling from pack to pack and I have gotten a little lost trying to pass through this swamp", she replied "I'm Hintana Herbalist of the Triple Threat Pack, you look awfully tired! The swamp lands are rather tricky place to navigate and not to mention dangerous, I will take you back to my pack and introduce you to the Alpha".
Knight was relieved and happy accepted the offer.
Hintana lead Knight back to her pack, he is greeted with an abundance of over excited puppies falling over each other in anticipation of greeting the new traveller. A larger Amber agouti coloured female wolf with yellow eyes arose from a rock situated next to a large old tree with a den made out of the big crack at the base, she spoke "Greetings I'm Dakota Alpha of this pack, what brings you to the swamp lands?". Knight replied and told her he was a travelling wolf from SilentStalk pack, he had got a tad lost navigating this swamp.
Dakota spoke again "Your more then welcome to stay here for 4 moons if you like, gain some strength and we will show you around our territory for you to better understand the swamp lands. In exchange for our service I do extra help with the pups?", Knight would happily oblige and agreed to pup sit in exchange for their services.

Before he realises it 4 moons have already passed and Knights time with the Triple Threat Pack has come to an end. The pack gather around him in a kinda send off ceremony, yipping and pressing their noses on his cheek before climaxing with a howl as he trots out of sight.

Lore: After leaving the hard to traverse swamp, he traveled all the way back to where he came from, and decided to go the opposite way. Quickly upon entering the coniferous forest, ahead was a scout. Upon seeing Knight, the panda-like wolf let out a low, wary growl. Keeping calm and relaxed, showing no signs of aggression, he explains why he's here and that he will leave if he has to. The scout's eyes widen, and tells Knight of the traveler they encountered before, and they understand. The tension virtually relaxed, he was invited to the Moonlight Creek pack, and they were talking to each other along the way.

"Is traveling like scouting?" The traveler ask curiously. "Sort of," Knight replies. "It's like exploring, yes, but you get to stay in packs for however long you'd like." The scout seemed to be lost in thought, wondering how a wolf could do that safely. As they arrived, the scout went ahead to tell their leader. Welcoming than most, she showed him around her pack, and where he can stay. Two others were here, one being the traveler the scout had mentioned earlier.

Though confused and wary at first, the pack grew to like Knight quickly after learning what he was here for. They treated him like their own. Despite their kind offers, he knew it would be wrong to come here and be pampered without doing anything. He helps out with tips he learned from other packs, herb spots, where dangers lie, etc. Finally, 2 1/2 moons went by, and he decided it was best to leave. After he said his goodbyes, he prepares for what lies ahead.

Knight had traveled once again for a decent amount of time until he came upon the mountain region, where he happened to bump into a pupsitter with a quite interesting coat color.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't see you there sir." Said the strange colored wolf "My name is Xenus, what might yours be?"
"Oh your quite alright, my name is knight. Where am I? And your coat is quite interesting might I say." Knight replied with a smile
"Oh, why thank you! You happen to be in Yin n' Yang territory right now, but no worries we don't mind you being here. Might I ask, are you another traveler?" Xenus asked
"Why yes I am, have you had a few come around?"
"yea, even one of our own is becoming one! I'm sure he'd love to hear your stories. His name is Jupiter, hes right over there talking with Anna the beta. I must go but I hope you enjoy your stay here" Xenus said as she was off to the enclave den down the way
Knight then went off and met Jupiter to meet the other travelers who've stopped by as well. Soon after meeting everyone it was time to rest. Knight had an amazing 2 days meeting the pups and other wolves, he even asked Jupiter if he'd adventure with him sometime and take him to his first destination. And of course Jupiter said yes. As the third day was ending all of the travelers, except the wolf with puppies, were off to their next adventure

Lore: After some time in the mountains, he said his farewells and came down into the grasslands. He wondered about for a while, until a young wolf trotted up to meet him.
"Who are and what are you doing on Starry Moon Howlers territory?" The she-wolf growled.
"Fiesty one aren't you? I'm a traveler, and I am searching for my next stop. Mind if I stay at your pack for a few days?" he asked the she-wolf. She huffed and said
"Very well, I'll take you to meet our alpha, Blue Heart." So off they went, further into the grasslands. Soon, a little what looked to be camp came into view. The dens were dug into the ground like rabbit burrows.
"What in the- That's how you guys live?" he asked, very confused. The she-wolf turned and looked at him.
"Well duh. We took the flatest area on the whole grassland territory. What else are we supposed to do. Oh right! I forgot to ask. What's your name, traveler?" the she-wolf asked, not looking so hostile.
"My name is Knight. I come from the mountains." he replied, holding his head up with pride and perking his ears upwards. "And what's yours, she-wolf?"
"My name is Scarlett Sky. I'm a scout and I was just on my way for another scouting mission when I ran into you. Anyway, here's Blue heart and her beta, Silvermoon." A seemingly blue and seemingly white wolf came walking up to him, not looking entierly hostile or friendly.
"Scarlett, care to introduce us?" Blueheart said, her voice carrying throughout the pack, so the other members would hear.
"His name is Knight, my alpha. He's come from the mountains and from Luna's pack. I know because he smells of them. He is a traveller wising to stay ith us for a while." Blue's ears perked up at this.
"Well why didn't you lead with that? Come come! One of our adolescents has left recently because he wanted to become a travelling wolf! If you do run into a red wolf with hetero black and white eyes named Luis, do tell him I say hello!" Silver nodded from the back, just watching cautiously. "Silver, can you show him to his den?"
"Sure thing dear." he replied, his gruff voice barely reaching Knight's ears. He showed hi to his den, where he settled in.
"Thank you. Silver Moon, right?" he asked, making sure he was correct. Silver nodded, slowly blinking at him.
"Enjoy your stay, traveler," was all he said as he walked away. Knight spent his time looking around the pack, making new friends, and stargazing with his new best friends, Maxwell and Acanthite.

Lore: It was saddening to leave the beautiful grasslands in which Knight had found himself, but the wanderlust hadn't left his system yet and so, with only minor regret, he said farewell to his new friends and began his journey once more. The memories of his time there would remain to keep him warm during cold nights.

He traveled north, past the coniferous forest, and into the chilled air of the taiga. Leaves crunched beneath his paws, and twigs snapped into two as he padded along a well-used game trail. It had been a few days since his last meal, and his body was beginning to betray him-- he was exhausted.

It was then he encountered a wolf. A scout, to be exact, for a local pack; Wandering Spirits. Her name was Nemoralia, and she offered him a place to stay for a few days.

"Our alpha is a bit shy and awkward, and maybe even eccentric at times, but she means well and we all trusted her mother. I'm sure she won't mind." She had told him as she led him deeper into the forest.

A crow's sharp call pulled his attention from the scout, you ducked her head respectfully. He did the same. His ears twitched as he heard mumbling, and another loud cry from a crow as it flew over his head to land on the back of an approaching wolf.

"Uh... what's this, then?" She asked, awkwardly, her eyes wondering across him, unable to meet his gaze. The feathers and medallions she decorated her body with gave her an odd appearance.

"My alpha, I've come across a traveler during my mission." The scout said cheerfully. "He's requested a place to stay for a few rollovers. He said he's willing to work for a meal."

Knight bowed his head once more before standing straight. He was larger than the small and seemingly meek alpha before him. "My name is Knight," He introduced, "and what she says is true."

"Oh..." She said thoughtfully, going quiet as she rolled her head, her eyes wandering off to the side. She muttered something beneath her breath.

"If you'll have me." He continued softly.

"Um..." She glanced back at him sharply before dipping her head into a short nod. "Sure. Yes. You can stay for a few rollrovers... I think... as long as you don't cause any trouble... the gods know I don't need the trouble..." At times, her voice would dip into an unsure mumble, but then it seemed she would snap back into reality.

"I won't. Thank you so much." Knight promised. "May I know your name?"

"Um.. Sable. Alpha Sable, to you."

"It's a pleasure. Thank you, again."

Sable nervously padded at the loose dirt at her paws. "Y-Yeah, um, Nemoralia? Would you take him to an empty... cave or den or... somewhere that he can rest?"

The scout perked up. "Sure thing, my alpha. C'mon, Knight, right this way if you'd please..."

Lore: Knight left the grasslands again after hearing about a pack located in the mountains that were being led by a wolf from the Lunar Realm and wanted to see for himself if it was true, as he continued the land became harder to maneuver around without worrying about getting hurt with one wrong step and then he thought that he sean another wolf but thought that his mind was playing trikes on him because what wolf would live in this climate and landscape and then he found one of the worn-down trails that were used almost daily by the looks of it then he saw the strange wolf again and by the looks of it the wolf saw him too then the wolf started to come closer to him. "Hi, there I'm Black Hazel I'm the Alpha Female of the Rocky Mountain Pack who are you and why are you in our territory?" She calmly asked, "I'm Knight a traveling wolf from the SilentStalk Pack and I was wondering if I could stay in your pack for a while if that's ok." He replied the she-wolf nodded then she started leading him to the rest of the pack that was located near a cliff face that overlooked a major river he was surprised by the scenery and then he caught up to Black Hazel and continued their journey up a very steep trail then they got to there destination Shadow was waiting at the mouth of the cave. "Hi there Knight I'm Shadow the leader of the pack that lived in the area." Shadow said after that Shadow and Black Haze led him to the rest of the pack He looked amazed at how everything was organized and placed. He was grateful to meet Shadow the wolf that he had heard about all of his childhood and on his travels, Shadow was cooler looking in person than in the stories he was told as a pup.

After Knight had stayed a few nights with Black Hazels Pack he continued on and made it to the Deciduous forest, where he met https://www.wolvden.com/wolf/6367183Ash and her pack, he didn't really take notice of anyone except https://www.wolvden.com/wolf/6392986Moss and https://www.wolvden.com/wolf/6397314Rosemary. He found Rosemary interesting with her constant chatter about herbs and Moss just seemed to catch his attention, aside from her being a Scout there wasn't anything interesting about her and yet Knight couldn't seem to spend one day without her company.
