Her career as a huntress has become a strong one. She takes great pride in her ability to wear prey out, and while she's only taken prey down a mouthful of times herself, she knew if her pack had more synergy and she got what she wanted, she'd have gotten to snap every critter's neck herself.
summer, year one
She's quite proud of her pups. The runt is a bit like his father, but the other three are going to give her a legacy worth protecting, even if she's growing restless with the lack of the hunt. She and Horizon don't much get along, but he was by far the wolf with the most appeal, and Swan's heat had beaten her down like the summer sun.
Looking at her pups now, she isn't sure that it was necessarily worth it, but it wasn't exactly a waste of her time or energy. Swan is nearly two years old, and even though the herbalist occasionally pads into the nursery to lovingly check on his pups, she's certain that if he had spent any more time getting to know her, the most sultry of heat wouldn't have been inviting to him.
In fact, the entirety of her heat was spent seeking him out for his intoxicating musk, only to break out into a fight with moments later, frustrated and irritated that he was so fucking nice to her. She was one more act of aggression away from being dangerous when she finally became bred, sore from each prior attempt, primal instincts in her heart quelled -- for now.
