Peregrine

Peregrine is the newest adult in the pack, at precisely one year old. He joined after having left his old pack in search of one with a spot for him, and found Phantom's group to be exceedingly accommodating. His trusting personality meant he immediately went with the group that found him back to their camp and never once believed he was in danger. It also has lead him to try and befriend even the most sullen of wolves without fear for his life...such as Abyss. He is a sweetheart and is already making quite the impression on the pups.

Peregrine has become the sweetheart pupsitter of the pack. He's always there for a crying pup to come cuddle with, and he excels at reading the emotions of others...well, except for the emotions of Abyss who is clearly interested in him. His rosy pelt brings a smile to everyone he passes, and there are no wolves that have any irritation towards him. However, his trusting demeanor makes him a target for more aggressive packs, and it is an unspoken rule amongst his packmates that he is not allowed to wander alone.

Peregrine is the sweetheart of the pupsitters. With his crowns of flowers that he weaves, he is often gifted blossoms by his various charges, all in the hopes that they will be gifted these gorgeous works of art. Beyond just crafting ornamentation, Per is an excellent tutor, and works hard to be sure both pups and adolescents are given the training they need. He can often be found covered in pups and petals alike, or tucked alongside Abyss when the hunter returns home.

Peregrine has continued to be a source of comfort for the pack. Often found amongst the other pupsitters, he frequently invents new games to keep the pups laughing even in the deepest colds of winter. Though he himself despises the cold and is often shivering, he makes sure the youngsters are warm and fed before ever caring for himself. He has made several tries to check in on Abyss, who is struggling with hunting party transitions, but was snapped at each time. It is the first time in many weeks he has felt so distanced from the other male.

Peregrine, after being snapped at through most of winter by Abyss, has shrunk back from engaging with the wolf they once enjoyed the company of. They're confused by his behavior, having thought the two of them were close friends, and instead turn all their focus towards their young charges. The pups in their care grow up to be nurturing and faithful, inquisitive and creative. And they are glad to be in a position where they are able to inspire the next generation...but part of them aches for the hunter who had been their shadow just a few short moons ago...
