A quiet and still night had ensured that the distant sound of loons and chirping crickets sank into his dim pelt. He lowered himself to his haunches and peered out at the still water—the lake of reflection. The young heir had often met up with his lover before this very pool of refreshing liquid.

"Viridiana." He called out. The silken pale fur of the young huntress was complimented by echoing moonlight. Hugging her silhouette and painting her all the more gorgeous beneath these stars. She took no more than a few steps over to reach his side. Finally, sitting beside him and resting her warm forehead beneath his pale chin. If he was to be this pack's next leader, he wouldn't be able to do it without her.

"Viridiana." He spoke in a whisper, causing her to look into his glowing eyes. "I need you at my side. Without you, I don't know what I'd do. Tamaki expects a lot from me. Can I count on you to be with me through whatever troubles may lie ahead?"

A quiet gust of wind had broken through the clearing and raced up against the two. Their fur ruffled, lightening the heavy topic. Viridiana cracked a smile and dipped her head in understanding and agreement.

"I would love nothing more." She said in a delightedly quiet tone. She pressed her nose to his chest and inhaled his familiar and comforting scent. Muzan couldn't help but rouse a smile. Everything was falling into place.
