Spoiler Hunt with The Shadows, Immortalize at 7~ years after last litter. (Breed for G2 Argent Heir, keep all t3 pups choose Youngest possible Heir at Ceremony) SpoilerSpoilerA pale brown wolf descended the steep slope of the Auyuittuq mountain, stones shifting under her wide feet and tumbling down the hills. Three pups followed close on her heals, all equally as pale. In the grasslands below, a small heard of elk meandered slowly across the expanse absolutely unaware. These wolves had been separated from their pack moons ago, only to recently find the majority of them hanging from a hunters hook. Now this female was tasked with caring for her newborns alone. They hadn't eaten since being lost, and this girl was hungry.

The female carefully chose a hiding spot for her pups and made sure they were tucked away neatly before finding her way to the Tundra.The elk were totally unaware of her movements and held their grazing. She crept alongside boulders covered in moss keeping her frame as small as possible, using the shades of her fur to her advantage. The closer she got, the better she could smell the musk on her next meal. They were bigger then they seemed when they were dead. Elk were tall and proud creatures, not usually scared of individuals like herself. Alone. Weak. And hungry.

A stone slipped down the slope from under her foot, and the Elk turned their heads.. but they didn't flee. She used this to her advantage and came closer to the beasts. She looked for any that were old, or limp or had no antlers. They eased away from her slowly and she relaxed onto a bed of grass to watch them. She waited, and she watched, and she waited even longer as the herd flowed along the plains and nibbled at the grass. Soon the sun began to set, and the herd started to close in on itself for the night. The female chose now to rise and stalk towards the herd. The closer she got the more agitated the Elk seemed.. but it wasn't because of her. Across the field two shadows darted directly at the herd, stunning even the bravest bucks into a panic. She paused and watched their direction carefully making sure she was well out of the way. Just off to her left, another, slightly larger shadow stalked among the boulders and waited patiently for the elk to come to it.

The female sat on her haunches for only a moment longer before a thought crossed her mind; These were wolves, of course. Young ones in training if she could guess by their size. But where were the adults mentoring them? She quickly stuck her nose to the air and looked and smelled around. Nothing came to her attention other than the commotion of the hunt which scared her more than seeing them did. As quietly as she could she stood up low and scurried back the way she came earlier that day. It only took a few hundred steps to make it back to her pups, and in a blink she had the smallest by the scruff and was off with the rest. A light trot had her on her way in a hurry and her pups galloping after her. The air was still and quiet and The female couldnt stop the drop in her stomach as a broad, blue wolf stepped out from between some stones. This girl was angry, teeth bared and a gash across her face. Other wolves came out as well, much less angry but all with stern looks on their faces still. A male stepped forward, followed loosely by the three Pitch black teens from earlier. The female bowed her head gently to set her pup on the ground and look these wolves in the face.

"What is your name?" The males voice was light, soft.

"Astra.." She replied gently.. "These are Tara, Koda, and Kaya" she hopes their names will stick.

"You're not from here, I haven't scented you before. " A tan wolf spoke up. her voice was more heavy, but kind in a way.

Astra shook her head. " Im from up in those mountains, on the other face of the peak." a sidelong glance in the direction of the mountains

"our pack was hunted, any that weren't made sure they weren't found. It is only us."

The male stood quietly, his yellow eyes glowing in the twilight as he considered the wolves in front of him. He looked back at the wolves behind him, and thought some more.

Finally He turned back to Astra.

"My name is Eldritch. That blue one there is Senua, our Finisher." The mentioned wolf raised a lip in a sneer

"Anna and Lorcan," He gestured to a couple of tan wolves that hadn't spoke. "Our stalker, Ding." A nod from the earlier wolf.

"And lastly our trainees, Samael, Kali and Morana." He looked proudly at the three shadows behind them all. These pups didn't speak, but their glowing eyes and large frames spoke well enough. They were just as strong as any of these adults.

"you may follow us home if you want, our Lead may like to know you." Eldritch offered a last kind smile before the group collectively turned to follow their three Shadows, supposedly to where they had made a kill.

She held her ground and considered the offer for a moment. She could handle herself she thought. Critters were easy enough to snatch from their holes, and bigger predators were easy to avoid. But with three pups? She looked at them. The smallest had fallen asleep on her paw, and her brave girls were sitting side by side watching all of the wolves. She allowed more space between them before reluctantly picking up her smallest and following behind. Her girls followed diligently and they were soon off on their way.

Not too far from where she first spotted the Teens, two Bull Elk lay silent. These weren't sick ones either, like the ones she was after; These were young and broad, one with massive antlers at least twice as big as they needed to be. Four of the adults each grabbed an antler in its jaws, Eldritch and Senua taking the biggest one, and began dragging it towards the far end of the Tundra.
