Mountain Mooncake is a Traveling Wolf! She's chosen to follow her mothers pawsteps, seeing the world and never spending more than a few days with any pack. For info, here are links to the Travelers' Haven, a secluded oasis where traveling wolves can rest and swap tales of their travels, and the Traveling Wolf Rules.

In short, please DONT keep her for more than 10 days before gifting her to someone else, and (if you like) please DO add decor and/or write in her bio about her time with your pack!
But please DONT remove her decors or chase her!

A harsh, loud, high-pitched bark hit her ears. It was incessant, and it was scary. This wasn't how she expected her first days on her own to be. The barking sounded like dogs, domestic ones, and probably tiny. But her mother had warned her of hunters. They didn't usually come after wolves, but she steered well clear, trotting until the sounds were a faint memory in the distance. She followed the line of mountains in the distance, her namesake, certain they would not lead her astray. Sure enough, as soon as she could see a high peak topped with snow, she was met by a lovely pack. Determined not to let the sounds of humans haunt her, she took her rest with them for a while before she left again.

Once she left the Mountains, she made her way East and chanced upon the Rockford pack at the Riparian Woodlands. They were more than happy to take in the pup, and she had plenty of other around her age to play with and such. Soon Autumn came to the land again, and she finally made it to her first birthday after the pack decided to move everyone to the Deciduous forest for winter preparations...the pack deciding as soon as they learn of this, to throw a big celebration with lots of good food and fun competition games to play with the others nearing adulthood. She felt ready after this to start her adventures into the world again though, so as much as they were sad to see her go, they saw her off with many a well wishes and a bird friend to keep her company! ♥

After reaching adulthood, Mountain Mooncake's first destination was the Sun Stealers, her mother's adoptive pack. She considered it a kind of pilgrimage to pay her respects.

A day's journey into the desert, she rolled down a sand dune and got herself stuck in a tangle of vines. (She was no expert on desert plants, but they weren't like anything else she saw growing in the region, and they almost seemed to be moving to entangle her.) She was rescued by a lone wolf named Diluc who then pointed her towards the Sun Stealers' territory.

There, she met Wyrmfang and the rest of the Lightbringer hunting squad, her mom's adoptive family. They told her lots of stories of her mom growing up.

Mountain Mooncake caught the scent of something familiar. It didn't take long before the scent got stronger and she was soon racing towards it, the scent was her mothers. She found herself in the Adolphus pack where she found her mother who had been traveling through. The Adolphus pack had recently removed to the mountains for the winter, better and easier hunting grounds. She was happy to see her mother and they exchanged stories, she told her mother of visiting her mothers adoptive family. She played with the puppies and helped forage for herbs. After staying a while she bid farewell her mother had left the pack before her to continue on her journey. [Blackwidow #43418 added Heather Crown]

Mountain Mooncake continued on her traveling. She went to the dedicious forest in hopes of meeting a new pack. Sure enough, she found a pack by the name of Valley Shadows. The first Wolf she met was Lexa, a kind hunter who showed her around. Mountain Mooncake was happy to meet such a nice wolf. She was later introduced to Rogue, the alpha. He simply gave the traveller a cold look and continued on with his duties. Lexa told her to not mind the alpha he was always cold like ice.
After a few days of spending time with wolves from the pack she choose to move on with her journey. While traveling, she found a small bird friend.

Mountain Mooncake, just like the rest of the Travelling wolves who stumble into the dark parts of the Mountains, almost fell into a dark Ravine. "Ah, another traveler? Welcome to the Abyssal Void!" The cheerful wolf introduced herself as Hades, a young adolescent in the pack. She lead the traveler down the steep steps into the gorge, bright lights showing themselves as lunar butterflies and wisps whipped around overhead, shining brilliant lights over the pack. "Go ahead and stay for awhile! Take this little one in case you get lost!" Hades grinned, nudging over a small wisp into Mountain Mooncake's peripheral.

A fierce, cold wind blowing on the Grasslands forced Mountain Mooncake to seek refuge in the first pack she met on her way, the Court of Howls. Umi, one of the mentors of the pack, took Mountain Mooncake under her wing, helping her out when the young traveler found herself pregnant with Gjallarhorn's pups.
During her stay, she was able to witness a very rare event, the birth of conjoined twins in the first litter of one of the young females of the pack. The members of the Court crafted a special owl talon necklace to celebrate the event. It was an interesting thing to see, but at the same time, it made her worry for her own upcoming babies.Thankfully her pregnancy went well and soon 5 pups were born.

Though it pained her to leave behind her pups and fond memories, Mountain Mooncake continued her journey south. She trekked through into the desert, a wasteland of heat and dust, but amongst the shade of rocky cannon outcrops she came across another pack. They claimed to be drifters themselves, finding temporary refuge among the rather convenient caves and that she was more than welcome to join them. In her stay, a young pup eagerly questioned her of her journeys. With fondness in her heart she recited her tales to the wide eyed pup and their pack, and in turn they recited theirs to her.

Her travels soon brought Mountain Mooncake to the mountains. Here she found an interesting pack of ferocious wolves, they didn't view her as a threat and offered her a warm den where she could lay down and rest. All they wanted in return was for the Traveler to train some of their young. She was at first a bit worried about the task, as one thing was telling stories and another teach pups how to survive and find their place in their pack.

During one of the lessions the pups sniffed the ground, focused on the task. There were so many tempting scents around but the pups Mooncake was mentoring ignored them and quickly found a herb that was shown during the lesson and brought it back to her.

From the mountains she traveled north. Along the way she came across a mother and her pups. The site reminded Mountain Mooncake of herself moons ago and she eagerly helped the mother wolf who introduced herself as Odette. When her and the mother wolf chanced upon a pack, Mountain Mooncake was surprised to see that it was the pack she had met in the desert a while back. Those former drifters had settled themselves within the taiga woods where the graciously invited the travelers to rest and stay a while.

When sharing stories of their travels, Odette mentioned having left a litter in the pack she had just left. Mooncake happily informed the wolf her children had grown to be exceptional hunters. They talked for hours about how her pups where doing, if they were being treated well, how was their father and mother, more trivial topics during her stay. Mooncake grew to like Odette.

The time came for Mountain Mooncake to leave again. She traveled for some days before she found another pack willing to take her in. Something about their scent was familiar, but her memory was fuzzy. Perhaps she had been with them before, but the wolves she would have known were no longer here, and they had moved to a new place on top of that. Regardless, they took her in and she made new friends among them before she headed out again.
