Rhaenyra

A childhood companion of Lucerys, Rhaenyra accompanied the young king when he struck out on his own from his brothers.

She became a mother young, bearing Lucerys' first daughters: Helaena and Baela. She and Lucerys both favoured Helaena for her looks. But Helaena died as a pup, mangled beyond recognition by a bear. Rhaenyra and Lucerys were both devastated. In her grief, Rhaenyra began to neglect Baela and was not much of a mother at all to the young pup. Baela joined another pack and died shortly after.

Though still queen in name, Rhaenyra and Lucerys' relationship has cooled. Shortly after Daeron, the king's favourite, came of age, she struck up an illicit affair with the younger male. Again, Rhaenyra was not a particularly attentive mother to Daeron's four pups.
