While he often defies his pack's leadership and decisions, he is devoted to wolves and other animals. Kars longs for a raid against humans rather than other wolf packs, but acknowledges that decision can only be made by Ragnar. However, some wolves in the Völsung pack have shared gossip about finding human skulls and other unfamiliar remains in his burrow.
He is fond of Ivar for his ruthlessness, as well as Floki for his amiability toward animals and respect for nature. Otherwise, Kars does not care to interact with most wolves in his pack, including their king, Ragnar.
