Daphne had always wished for her own pack, ever since she was a pup. So, when it started to grow, she couldn't help but feel proud of herself.
She wondered if her parents would be proud of where she is now. She hoped that her pack grew big and strong. She hoped that the helpless and weak little pups in her small pack grew up to carry the pack onwards, or maybe even leave to make their own packs. Whatever they decided in the future, she would be proud of them.
As she looked at her pack members, her family, a swell of happiness overwhelmed her. She will do everything in her ability to keep her family safe. She will sacrifice her own life for them but she hoped she wouldn't have to do that. She hoped she could make friends, allies, that'll make her pack strong and keep them safe.
Not everything had to be solved with violence, that's how she had been brought up and she hoped to never have to kill without reason.
Her features softened at her thoughts, only for her ears to fall back flat against her head. She hoped that her current and future pack members lived to those morals as well.
