Zurra the Storyteller came to Sunpeak from the mountains.

Eyes like an eclipse and fur like fire, she quickly became the center of attention for all who lived in the peaceful Sunpeak Meadow. Everyone wished to know her—who she was, where she came from.

Her story.

She sat among the grass and flowers of this small clearing in the deepest heart of the forest, and stranger wolves and their puppies flocked around her with wide, eager eyes and pricked ears, and, oddly, she felt in control.

In a strange place, so far from the home she knew, from her siblings and her mother and the wolves she once called her pack—she realized she could be whoever she wanted. She could mold herself however she wished, with words as sweet as gentle paws in clay.

She could be anyone.

And so, with a breath, she told them.
