Astrophel was born to the Alphas of a large, powerful pack that dominated the Coniferous Forest. Throughout his puphood and adolescence, he was known to be a trickster and a bit of a troublemaker, but never meant any true harm by it. Due to most of his behavior being excused solely because of his status as the Alphas' pup, Astrophel became very comfortable with risky having behavior that would've easily gotten him kicked out if it weren't for his parents. Most pack members didn't mind all that much, but a few had quickly grown very tired of his antics.
One day, Astrophel got a bit too cozy goofing off near one of the female wolves in the pack, and a certain male that was interested in her did not take a liking to this. He ended up attacking Astrophel in the middle of the pack's clearing, which sent everyone into chaos. Some tried coming to Astrophel's defense, while others supported the "punishment" he was receiving. Astrophel ended up being chased out of the Coniferous Forest by the male, and once they reached the Deciduous Forest, he threatened to kill Astrophel unless he never came back.
Astrophel was alone for the first time in his life, left to fend for himself as an inexperienced yearling. He wandered aimlessly for the first few weeks. Hopeless and lost, he looked to the stars and wished for their guidance. After about a month of being on his own, he stumbled upon a dark female wolf on the brink of death. He felt like he could empathize with them, despite not knowing their story, and decided to protect and take care of them until they were brought back to health.
Little did Astrophel know, this was the wolf he'd end up starting a pack with.
