The goddess Oracle's mate taking a mortal form to be an agent for her in our mortal world. When this mortal form dies, he will return to her side, prepared to do it again whenever needed. Descendants of his have a strong connection to the goddess and protect and guide mortals as well. They also help wolves move on to the Clocktower. His mortal form is known as the Nightwing, with his mortal mate for that life being known as the Flamebird. Their descendants are known as Fledglings as puppies, Robins as adolescents, and Talons as adults.
