Born in the first litter between Svera and Yvar, the Kreigskjal and her Kreigswief, Ragnor was initially taken to be male due to her size, inherited from her grandfather and Yvar's sire, Kvasr. Though Yvar made it clear that if Ragnor ever felt opposed to her birth identity she was free to be known as the Kreigsson, Ragnor never developed such feelings. 

The terror of the pupsitters, Ragnor took to making them work hard to cover her tracks; she took to heart the divinity of her Mothers, and felt that as their child, she inherited some of this. With eager teeth, she clenched the ceremonial blade to shed her first sacrifice. She never hesitated to push hard during her training. Ragnor's arrogance, while overwhelming at times, was never entirely misplaced either, much to the chagrin of those who had to watch her. 

It was Ragnor who found the triplets at the pack border during her wandering, the orphaned triad staggering and starving and too young to live on their own. She called for Yvar, who came to witness the trio, and inducted them quickly into the pack so that they could survive. Here, Ragnor found someone who operated on her wavelength -- the only girl of the triad, Lydiya. Ragnor did not want be too overbearing, but she couldn't help herself; she began to offer Lydiya gifts from a young age, taken with the stranger's attitude. 

Thus did the arrogant Kreigsdottir fall in love; she admired the fire in Lydiya, the refusal to be treated with less than she deserved. Ragnor brought her gifts -- legbones and flowers -- which turned into more ornate shows of affection as she aged. 

No member of the pack was surprised when Ragnor and Lydiya became wed as they reached adulthood, swearing to one another with blood and sacrifice and wine.
