Isana was the firstborn, both of the valley and of Cyrus herself. One of these pups, the firstborn daughter, was to be trained to be the heir of Cyrus. But when these pups, a firstborn daughter and her younger brother arrived on a unusually cold day, Cyrus couldn't help but be disappointed. She was expecting strong pups, but only ended up with rather mediocre pups in terms of abilities. Lennon, realizing that Cyrus lacked any sense of maternal instinct, took his pups into his own care. He named Isana in hopes that one day, Cyrus would realize that strength does not only lie in physical prowess.
Lennon tried his best to shield Isana from the high expectations of her mother, allowing Isana to live a decent puppyhood, considering the circumstances of her pack's creation. She wasn't that close to her littermate during this time due to a tense relationship, and instead fawned over her little half sister when she was presented to the pack. As Cyrus watched her daughter grow, she pushed her to do more demanding tasks in order to grow her physical strength. She realized that Isana already had the mental capability to become a leader due to her precise and calculating nature, and just needed an intimidating stature to go with it. While Isana didn't mind going on more hunts with her packmates, she didn't like the pressure her mother was putting on her. The pressure on her continued to become more extreme, until the young female lost it, and ran away.
For several months into her adolescence, Isana managed to barely get by as a lone wolf, sometimes joining bands of other young dispersals in order to survive. During this time, she did some self reflection, and realized what she had be dreading all along. She didn't want to be leader. As a yearling, Isana returned to her birth pack, seemingly more mature in multiple aspects. She had a more mature mindset, and now had the gangly yet muscular body of a young adult. She declared loudly to her mother that she would not be leading pack, and never would be. Furious, Cyrus threatened her kin with banishment, with Lennon and the rest of the pack stopping her.
Isana settled back into the pack routine comfortably, with her brother and mother both showing resentment towards her. Her brother made his jealousy very vocal, as he would never be a candidate for pack leader due to being male. As time passed, Isana's belly grew, and it became obvious that she had gotten pregnant during her time away from the pack. With the whole pack bating it's breath for the birth of the next royal pups, Isana gave birth to 3 pups, two of them healthy and lively. As Cyrus had not been able to raise a viable litter after Isana's refusal towards becoming leader, she declared her eldest granddaughter the future heir to the pack to the despair of the new mother. With her pups still young and at her belly, she could only think with dread about the future of her daughter.
[6/16/2022] Much to Isana's despair, at the tender age of 2 years and 4 months, her littermate brother and his mate were exiled from the pack. Cyrus did not disclose why, leaving Isana fearing for her life and the life of her daughter. There is word of a "Great Scorching" occurring in the near future, and Isana can only pray for mercy as the pack scrambles to prepare themselves.
