(4RY) Mother thinks I'm the most likely to die; not in a bad way, and not because I'm too small, or too weak, (I'm pretty fast, actually; n I can outmanuver all my littermates, and even some of the bigger puppies!) but because if I have to choose between being smart or being hopeful, I'll always choose ignoring what's probably going to happen and focus on what I hope will happen. It worries her; all mothers have a pup they tend to worry about the most, and I hate it, but I think I'm that pup. I'm good at hiding, I can outrace some of the adolescents—why is being hopeful such a bad thing!?
Maybe one day I'll be able to be hopeful and smart, maybe one day mother will see that I'm right—for right now I guess I'll just have to keep being the best at everything else, so she doesn't have to worry so much. My littermates call it stupidity, which—they can suck an egg, cause I'm pretty sure I'm the one having to help them with everything they're failing in!
(5RY) Socialization skills with Nightfang... wasn't as bad as I thought I'd be actually... Badgerfawn's Puppy even found us after to give us tips on future lessons! I'd thought she was just really quiet originally, but she'll actually pretty fun! Nightfang also isn't as scary as I thought he was; mostly just grouchy!
(9RY) There was a scare in my lesson today; honestly, it was a pretty weird lesson overall. Foxblaze was talking to me a little more about herbs related to poisons and dosages when about puppy actually...ate some of the herbs? I know our teacher was talking to me and not watching the other puppy, but I still feel like it's the other puppy's fault for y'know; intensionally eating poison.
I gave him the throwup herb—something jad to be done while we were rushing him to Lightheart, and if cures can become poisons, I'd rather make him get sick than be wrong and poison him more. He's fine—"a little shaky, but the worst is over" Lightheart says; I could hear her and Foxblaze talking about me, but I couldn't make any of it out—I hope I didn't complicate things!

(13RY) I went foraging with Lightheart today; it was kinda fun—she let me treat it like a treasure hunt. There was this... bundle in Lightheart's cave before we left—it was a tool belt, apparently; they help tend to the herbs, and some of them do a way better job at taking cuttings from herbs. (Lightheart says that plants should never be uprooted entirely unless you're looking to move or get rid om them, so the ground knows what to grow.)
(13RY) Badgerfawn's Girl had her naming ceremony tonight—she actually got named before her brother! I think Snow's a little on the nose, but it suits her.
